Queso and everything else is fire
We ordered the family nachos tonight for our family of five plus a round of taquitos. Omg, the nachos. Everything came perfectly packaged and would have been plenty for 6 or 7 people to share. We are visitors to the Denver area so I didn’t know what to expect. The queso was fantastic, chips thin and crispy, having the onions and cilantro really makes it! A perfect way to end a day of hiking and exploring.
Way too loud hipster joint serving up cafeteria style built custom burritos (like chipotle). Lot of char grilled meat was going on the grill, but we must have come in after a rush because the kitchen was a disaster. My steak was under salted and somewhat bland, but the other ingredients were of good quality. The queso is kind of a yuk flavorless Velveeta with chips.
I asked for a kids burrito but with an adult tortilla because they're better quality. The guys rolled his eyes and said he was making an adult one. I didn't ask for that and your staff shouldn't roll their eyes at customers.On the plus side, we got our free drink for getting the question on the chalkboard correct.
I have been in Denver nice November & had talked so much trash about the food scene. Sorry not sorry.But this placed changed the game. Everything taste so fresh & everyone is genuinely nice. It’s so refreshing to enter a place as you are and feel welcome.I got the burrito w carnitas, Colorado style & quac. * chef kiss *(That means it’s really really good)Anyways. Keep rocking
I had the best catering experience here with Brad! He was so helpful and carried everything to my car. He asked if we needed anything else or extra serving utensils and napkins. He was fantastic! The world needs more Brads!!!
The vibe and aesthetic are fantastic (10/10). The food is delicious and so satisfying after a night of drinking. There is a lot of ample indoor and outdoor seating.I will always be back for their horchata. So good! ?
Love the location and the staff but something has to be done about the prioritizing of the online orders. Two or three online orders will be completed before a person that is actually in the restaurant will be helped. I've waited over 20 minutes for a basic burrito in a line of five people or less on multiple occasions. Today I waited five minutes just to check out because the cashier was dealing with a courier that couldn't find their order. Please set up a second food line to take care of online orders and prioritize helping the customers that are waiting in line.
Ordered the bacon breakfast quesadilla and breakfast tacos. My teens are very picky eaters and they loved it all so that says alot! Great portions and great prices. Will definitely be our new weekend go to spot!
I have long loved illegal Pete’s for their better taste and atmosphere over Chipotle. But I got an order of 4 shredded beef taquitos and some chips and queso two days ago and ended up with some of the worst food poisoning I’ve ever experienced in my life. About 48 hours of no sleep, pain, and constantly in and out of the bathroom from both ends. Makes me seriously doubt at least this locations commitment to food safety. I had nothing else to eat that day so I know it was the food I ate from here. Probably lost my business for a long time until I’m feeling brave or much more trusting.
