Solid burritos, great vibe. Mine was a little dry, so ask them to be generous with the salsas and sauces if you’re looking for more flavor.

We went in on a Friday night. It was moderately busy. Go to the food counter to place an order. We got a quesadilla and carnitas tacos and a large queso and chips to split/share. Everything was really good. It's was good a place to get good food and everything is made fast. People were friendly that were working. Inside and outside dining. Bar orders are separate. Advertised as a safe and friendly space and I appreciated that.

Really delicious. Great atmosphere. Food was delicious. Had a bowl with chicken and most all the toppings. Queso has got a little kick, or maybe something else I had but still delicious. If you need a stronger drink there is also a bar next to Illegal Pete’s. Overall great experience and food.

One of my favorite local spots in Denver. Justin, Lauren, Morgan, and Nick are awesome bartenders, and with so many options around town, they are the main reason I come here. Great tacos and burritos, great margaritas, and super friendly staff and management. No matter how busy they are, they take the extra few seconds to ask how your day is and make you feel at home. Fantastic happy hour if you can make it. Management : Please keep your regular bartenders! They bring the regulars!

Wonderful staff, they're always super friendly and I never end up waiting long for my food. Food comes out hot, fresh and delicious. This has quickly become a regular stop for me

Starving and wanted to get a burrito for National burrito day. Not from Colorado so we stopped here to eat. First of all: a ton of people were working behind the food bar and they were only helping one customer at a time. Second: they couldn’t hear a word we were saying. As I mentioned there were a lot of people behind the counter talking and the music was loud. Third: the food was so bland. Like sooooo bland. Where is the salt? The steak was tough and chewy and cooked medium so still pink inside.

Burritos - solid, enormous, spicy, tasty. Walk up counter with a small line to make your own burrito/bowl/etc. - sort of a better Chipotle. Separate area to have a pint of Pacifico, plus a full bar. Big TVs everywhere to watch the Nuggets dunk. Cheap as things come in most towns for the food. I'd argue that like a lot of Denver spots, it's actually too much food - tons of rice, lots of beans, tons of sauce - I'd trade it for slightly higher quality or more meat and pay an extra buck. I'd be here daily if I were still in school and a very Denver stop.

Had a really bad experience at chipotle so walked down the road for better food, and Rias and Phil (will? Sorry) both instantly brought my spirits up and got me a better meal with a far better attitude. The energy in this store makes it stand out even on 16th.

One of my favorite Illegal Petes within Colorado. The vibe and aesthetic is fantastic (10/10). The food is delicious and so satisfying after a night of drinking. Also, for a downtown restaurant, there was quite a bit of space for seating.I will always back for their horchata.

We visited about 2 weeks ago during our trip to Colorado. Food was delicious and the person that took our order was very friendly. We had a group of 3 adults and 2 young kids and the gentleman approached our table afterwards to ask how our food was. He then asked if he could give a complimentary cookie to the kids. The cookie was huge! Thanks for a great experience!
