This place has great burgers but the customer service is TERRIBLE. I believe the name of the hostess (Claudia) had black hair, short, and obnoxious. We have a service animal and she would not allow us in the establishment. Not only is that against ADA law but she was so rude about it. She told us that I would need to go back to the Hilton (where we were staying) and grab all her certified paperwork before we were allowed to order. She requested more proof than the airport does. This business needs to hire employees that want to be there, not drive customers away.
Fries were meh. But my burger was outstanding. Fresh beef, custom order they got right. They happily served me right before close.I'll pick a different side next time.
DO NOT EAT HERE. I was extremely informative about my 8 month old son’s severe allergy. I ordered off of their “allergy menu”. I get home and find that they ignored that and added butter to his bun. I called to verify that there was butter on it and the hostess confirmed it. She was unapologetic despite being the one who I spoke to. My son will end up in the ER and on IV fluids or worse, die, if he consumes dairy. The manager REFUSES to call me back despite multiple messages and attempts to contact them. My food was just disgusting. No flavor at all. It’s microwaved food for the cost of a more established burger place. If I could give negative stars, I would.
We stopped here for a quick lunch. Two burgers, one order of fries, two waters, and a side of ranch was $30. The burgers were good - but at only 6 oz., $30 seems a bit steep! There were 13 fried and the side of ranch was an extra charge. Based on the cost I have other places I will frequent.
General Manager did nothing but berate his staff all night. A lovely young lady was the only one taking care of everyone. The GM was just watching and not helping while she remained calm, pleasant, and accommodating. Thank you, Gabbie! They offer a GREAT tasting burger at Illegal Burger. I like the bun options and suggest the Pretzel Bun. I’m not a fan of shoe string fries and would prefer a steak fry option, but this doesn’t keep me from having Illegal burger again, wish there was one closer to Denver Tech Center.
The best burger and fries I’ve had in a long time. The truffle fries were awesome! There was only one person working the front and her name was Gaby, and she was amazing! I ordered the illegal creme cheese burger and she recommended the pretzel bun which was spot on perfect. Gaby was literally doing everything from the bar to front of the house service and waiting on multiple tables by herself. I was surprised with a location this busy there was only one person taking care of everyone. I truly hope they pay her well and keep her around as she’s a definite asset to the place. I’d definitely come again for both the food and the service I received! Favorite place I ate on my trip to Colorado!
Good food but no one ever answers the phone. They expect you to order your own food online while paying a dollar extra (is hidden in the fees). So we pay extra instead of getting your employees to do work? Weird
This was the best burger I have had in a long time! The fries are way better than McDonald's, for sure. You get a choice of regular, waffle-cut, or truffle herb. I want to try that one next as we got the regular and the waffle fries this time. We were so excited to try our burgers and forgot to take photos! My burger was the Illegal Cheeseburger, and I got the most delicious dipping sauce for my fries. My boyfriend got the Godfather, which comes with sautéed onions and bell pepper. Amazing! His dipping sauce was the same sauce that was on his burger, and was different than what I got. The service was very fast and friendly, and the staff was very prompt at cleaning the tables. I can't wait to go back and try something else! ?
My experience here always been great. The service is prompt and servers are nice. I absolutely love their burgers and truffle fries are amazing. I prefer this location than the one on 6th and Speer.
