Popped in on a Friday morning as I passed by on my morning walk.Grabbed a breakfast sandwich to - go.Smokes! This place is SO ON POINT!The staff were great! My sandwich was next level delicious. They cure all their meat in house. Will not get a breakfast sandwich anywhere else!
Loved it! one of the better sandwiches I’ve had in a while. It was good. Also got the turkey gumbo soup, yum. Will definitely be back to try everything on the menu. This place was a Triple D joint y’all. Go check it out.
Menu looked great! Really was a shame that I didn’t get to try any of it because it took the cooks 33 mins to not even get our two sandwiches done. There was no sense of urgency from anyone working so we had to ask for a refund bc our lunch break was over. Maybe it wasn’t completely the cooks fault, maybe they weren’t trained to make more than one sandwich at a time during a lunch rush or let customers know it may take more than 15 mins (which seems to me like a fair amount of time to wait for a sandwich but definitely not 33 minutes)
The sign on the door says "lunch served until 4" but they stop serving at 3:45 (I got there at 3:46). I get that they need some time to shut things down, but I was just looking to get a sandwich to go. They were nice about it but just a disappoining experience. I went out of my way to try it, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back.
This place has some seriously amazing sandwiches. One of the notable things they do right is their bread. Every sandwich I’ve had there has fresh, super high quality bread that is not only flavorful and delicious, but complements the sandwich beautifully. The meats they use are fresh and have amazing flavor, and the condiments are fabulous. The pastrami sandwich in particular has incredible house sauerkraut that launches it into the zone of perfection. Even the BLT, one of the most simple sandwiches you can get, tastes like it’s next level. This place is tucked away just off tennyson, so it’s not one of the ones you spot on a stroll up the street, but it’s absolutely a key part of this neighborhood and should be sought out.
We went here today because it was featured on triple D. We ordered 2 roast beef sandwiches 2 bottle sodas and one bag of chips 42$ which wouldnt have been paid had we been able to eat it. The beef was old tasting and not even heated all the way through. I took them back up told them the meat was old they just looked at me . I said just throw them away and we left. No trying to make it better anyway. Very disappointed and Guy owes me 40$
The copa is nuts—we’re obsessed. Also discovered at Truffle Cheese Shop if you’re closer to 6th Ave than Tennyson. Can’t wait to go back and try the sandwiches! Well done
they have great guanciale and other varieties of cured meat. also love their sandwiches and jalapeño bacon and mac for takeout.
Fantastic salamis, amazing roast beef sandwich. Great customer service! Will definitely go back.
Such an awesome sandwich place. Ordered the Hoggie and I was sad when I ate it all because I wanted more. Super duper high quality cured meats. Will definitely return.
