Ice cream is good, fun flavors. One son really liked the Goldfish cracker flavored ice cream. One son liked the pop tart ice cream sandwich. They didn’t have any flavors that interested me.
Ice cream is good, but that was the worst service I’ve received in quite some time. The guy was so rude, kept mumbling the “F” word because he was mad we ordered milkshakes, slammed them on the counter, and all around had the worst demeanor. Never felt so unwelcome in an establishment before… especially while paying 10 dollars per milkshake. He made sure I’ll never spend another dollar here.
It was just ok for me. I was excitedto go and grab a treat with my kid. I went mid day and there was no one else there. The guy working there was on his laptop (totally fine since it was empty) but acted like I was totally interrupting when we came in. Didn’t get a smile or a hello. Even after that wasn’t very pleasant. Who knows. Got a milkshake and an ice and they were nothing special. Shoulda just grabbed some donuts down the street
Great location on Colfax! Their ice cream flavors are KILLER! & you MUST take home an ice cream sandwich because they are so delicious. I suggest the Dirty Cookies & Creme by far!
Ice cream is great but the people are horrible. I have a service animal who I have I proper paper work for and need for medical emergencies. I walked in with my service animal and was immediately hounded regarding what services she provided. The store was packed and I replied “she is a medical service animal and I am more than happy to show you my paper work”A woman with hot pink hair and a mask continued to drill in asking what type of service animal she was. I repeated myself stating I would be more than happy to show my paper work and it’s illegal to ask what exact services she provided. Nor did I feel comfortable informing the guests who were present on what my medical conditions are.I have never been more humiliated or discriminated against for my medical condition. Awful experience and awful people. I was just trying to get ice cream on a Sunday with having to disclose my disability to the public.
So yummy!! I ordered this as a late night craving and was so impressed with the quality of icecream! I got a cookie sandwich & a tub of the “dirty cookies” both were delicious. The cookie was still crunchy for the sandwich which made it that much better, Deff will order again
I did not find this place welcoming. When we came in, the owner (or employee, I am not sure) was sitting in the place where clients usually sit, and was on his computer. So we came in and just looked lost, trying to find service and trying to choose something to buy. There was no guidance on what to choose, and when I picked one ice cream sandwich, it was as hard as rock. I am not sure if ice cream sandwiches are supposed to be so hard.We kinda waited a little bit in case the owner was in the restrooms or out for a while.Ultimately, the person who was initially on his computer stood up and went behind the counters. It was awkward, as he did not say a word during the whole time.We all stared at each other awkwardly gor a while, then I left without purchasing anything.
I enjoy the negativity that stirs up here. The owner is only doing its job. Why do you think it’s called RIOT Ice cream. Give him the same energy. Milkshakes here are amazing.
The girl that was working was really sweet, I wish I remembered her name so I can’t add it in the review. The cannoli wasn’t my favorite because I’m not a fan of cannolis but the presentation was very cute. The ice cream in the cannoli was amazing I love fruity pebbles. The ice cream sandwich was really good too I wish I would’ve chose a different pop tart flavor. But the experience was amazing. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Denver that has a sweet tooth.
Do yourself a favor and don’t go here! Your money is wasted at this establishment. Please! There are better ice cream shops who actually value your patronage. Don’t support abusive owners!!
