My boyfriend loves Hops & Pie! I’ve only been here two times but now I love it too! The servers are always so kind and attentive, I really recognize and appreciate that as I feel like most restaurants lately have been missing the mark on that part. I love the imported anchovies on the Caesar salad. The Detroit style pizza is our go to and I always get the side of pickles, yum!!! Thanks Hops & Pie, you’re a great addition to the neighborhood.
Solid flavors, great tap list (though no ciders) and friendly staff. I was really happy with my dining experience until I got the bill. The pizza was good enough, and the two beers were solid, but it certainly wasn’t worth the $55 ticket for two people to eat. I would love to eat here again, but I really can’t justify the price. The following weekend I found a great spot in Westminster across the street from a great park. I paid $38+tip for a large pie, chicken wings and two beers. That’s much closer to what I expect from a pizza shop.
They were super busy when I stopped in, but their patio looked nice! It was definitely a dive bar type experience. Pro Tip! Go on Thursday & you can get a $5 Detroit style! Extra toppings just $.63! Unfortunately mine was burnt on the bottom. Enough so that I was able to scrape the burnt pieces off. Great flavor though and hard to complain about a $5 pizza!Only less stars because of the multiple intoxicated patrons, attitude of staff members towards one another, and uncleanliness of restrooms. I’d try again!
We came here on a Diners Drive-Ins and Dive tour for the pizza featured on the episode, which sadly was not apart of their menu. The pizza and sandwich we ended up getting was good, but the service was disappointing. I think we had to ask for a menu 3 times and water at least twice from the same waiter so we almost left, especially since he seemed pretty attentive to his other tables. Eventually another waitress came on and she was better, but it was too little too late. I didn't regret coming here to eat, but I probably would go elsewhere for pizza.
You could feel from the atmosphere of this place and the feel of the locals that were around this is that kind of place where you tell your server get us what ever you think is good ~ and that was the right decision! Our waitress gave us their supreme and the pie of the month which had chicken, aioli, pineapple, parsley and cheese yumm. Cute bar and outdoor eating! The Main street is soo nice and clean in the out skirts of the Denver city!
Our waiter went above and beyond! I wanted "The Guy" and he helped us customize our order and make it happen. My partner loved the beer selection. Quick Tip: There is a Beer and Slice of Pizza Deal on Saturdays.
Delicious food, super friendly staff. Deep dish Detroit style pizza was an excellent choice — very tasty. Great selection of local, and hard to find beers as well. Would definitely recommend!
Love this place. Saw it on DDD years ago. Now anytime we are in Denver we have got to go and get our fix.Customer service is great as well. We purchased a couple of their beer glasses while there. We got home and there was an issue with one. I contacted “Leah” and she addresses and fixed it immediately. If only more businesses ran like this one. Thanks, we will be back soon.Update: back in town and as usual had to stop by. Pizza was good as always. Place seemed a little dirty and in need of a good cleaning. (Floors and tables) Still had a great time. Beers were great and service was good. We will be back next time in town
Got the Detroit style cheese pizza and it was enjoyable. The pizza was like cheese bread with marinara dipping sauce. It was very tasty and we enjoyed it. It probably would have been better with toppings.
Great beer and pizza. Vegan pizza options! Cool place with a great atmosphere and friendly staff.
