Good. Maybe overhyped. Was told 45 min wait but took 1.5 hrs on a Monday night. Pricey, but everything is now. Dan Dan mian was meh and expensive for what it was, but omg the turnip cakes… amazing! Pretty unique. Hong you chao shou were also great and very spicy. Beijing duck roll and La zi ji (fried chicken) were good, but pretty heavy and not sure if I’d order again. Cocktail was ok.

Good food, ok service for To Go. I had to wait longer than when I was told order would be ready by, by about 10 to 15 minutes. Wontons were good, Spicy Chicken (La Zi Ji) was really spicy, stir fried with whole red hot peppers and no sauce. Duck Roll was good. The real Hop Alley was near 16th and Market or Wazee, but I guess one can locate restaurant wherever, and this happens to be at 35th and Larimer.

The vibe, the food, the staff and the drinks are amazing. I got an old fashioned and it was one of the best I have ever had. The picked plate and the spicy chicken. The chicken is hella spicy but delicious.

Awesome atmosphere-- Spicy chicken was SO HOT so definitely ask for the duck sauce. Bone marrow fried rice didn't seem to have meat so that was a bummer still yummy though. The turnip cakes are a must have! The coconut lime sorbet was an awesome way to relieve the spicy food!

Food was so great, lots of variety. Recommend: bone marrow rice, eggplant dish (just the right amount of spice) and lamb bao. Service was functional but didn't impact the overall experience.

Hop Alley is incredible and 100% deserves the praise/hype you’ve likely heard! The music was a bit loud for us and we loved the service. We had leftovers from our meal of yen tsai, chilled tofu (lovely peanut sauce), grilled asparagus (so crisp and yum), la zi ji (relatively spicy chicken with great flavor) and veggie fried rice. We can't wait to go back!

TL;DR; Food ?, Staff ❤️, Drinks , Date Spot? ✅New to the area and this spot quickly became one of my regular visits. Great spot for a delicious bite and a drink with friends or even a date.Food is ?, menu is regularly updated for seasonal items while they keep their main stays.Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and absolutely ❤️ the extra effort the staff puts in to ensure allergen or other needs are met.Drinks are , love the local beer selection. Their classic cocktails are properly delicious, and their new concoctions regularly update with interesting and delicious things. Would love to see some other offerings in the N/A non-beer category.(Sorry, I know nothing of wine and haven’t explored their whiskey/scotches yet but they offer both)

Came in for my birthday. This was a top 10 meal. Everything was good to excellent. The staff was all super friendly and easy going. They threw out some excellent recommendations. I would have never chosen to get ice cream with soy sauce, but it was incredible. Please PLEASE do not sleep on the turnip cakes. Great atmosphere. Great experience.

Exceptional service and great good. What more can you ask for? Get the cabbage, the wood ear salad! They may looks simple but are surprisingly amazing and interesting. Please keep those on the menu.

Worth the wait! Everything was so incredible. It can get very busy so reservations are strongly recommended. We got a cocktail that was very refreshing and sweet as well as a beer. The fried wontons were so creamy, crunchy and delicious. The la zi ji chicken packed quite a spicy punch, so if you're a fan of spice it's the perfect dish for you. This place is the perfect spot for authentic family style Chinese food!
