This was our first time here. There were 4 other tables, 3 of whom had already received their food. It was a very odd experience actually. No greeting from the Waiter [one who had the tuft of blond hair]; he just showed us our seats. We ordered 2 main chicken dishes, with a number of sides.Once our food came, both my Wife and I noticed that neither of the chicken dishes were cooked all the way. I told this to the Waiter and it was so strange...no apologies; no offer to remake the dishes; and no offer to exchange the food for something else. He really didn't say anything other than say something to the cooks. As for both chicken dishes - very lacking in spices...I've had Indian food at many locations around Denver and all I tasted was half-cooked chicken. We figured since we already paid for it, and they never offered to remake it, we'll just do it ourselves at home.Maybe it was just a bad day for these folks, but with only a few tables you would think they would have taken the effort to get it right.
We had a great dining experience. Fresh food, flavorful, good portion. Will definitely return with family and friends next time.
Great service, very large portions. However the food lacked some of the spices and didn't have the authentic flavor. We got the tandoori chicken and fried chicken momo, which were both fine but not great.
This evening my husband brought home takeout, my experience is only from the perspective of the food and I am unable to speak to atmosphere or service. In regards to the food it was the absolutely blandest Indian food I've ever experienced. The makhani tasted of very spicy tomato soup and my korma was just spicy and salty coconut milk. Spice level requested wasn't as expected and the lack of Indian spices made for a disappointing dinner. The best thing about my dinner was the brown rice which was scented with more traditional flavors.
Shrimp Vindaloo and Lamb Rogan are savory and succulent ? amazing flavor ? we will comback for more.?
Service was wonderful once the server figured out we hadn't been helped yet (they must not have sections assigned)-- don't be shy to wave someone down if it takes a little while. Food was amazing. I recommend the biryani and the Punjabi wings. Signature cocktails were also very good.
This place is PERFECT for lunch! The portion sizes are ideal for one hungry person or two kinda hungry people. You can choose your spice level and the garlic naan is fantastic. With the lunch combination, select veggie or chicken. Their staff is wonderful & not intrusive.10/10! Perfect lunch spot in RiNo.
The portions are generous. The quality is mediocre. Salt is no replacement for good flavor. This is not the worst Indian food I’ve ever had but I would not call it good. Unless I need to feed an army I will not order from here again. Also they missed an item in my order.
All three of us absolutely LOVED our meal. Best chai I've had anywhere - so rich and creamy without being extremely sweet or spiced. The lamb saag was also the best I've had. I will definite drive down from Cheyenne for that again!
Having frequently traveled to Japan, their Indian restaurants have been my gold standard for Indian food. In all my years of travel to Japan no other Indian restaurant has ever come close to that standard. Himchuli RINO exceeded it! The food was absolutely phenomenal and can't recommend this place more highly--we will be coming back along with my co-workers who also are Indian food connoisseurs!!
