I made the reservation online with a note that we are tax-exempt. I then immediately called the hotel and asked them about sending me the tax-exempt paperwork so we could ensure this was pre-done. The person I talked to was clueless and had no idea what tax-exempt was. I also told them I was paying by check from a Public School. I was on this call for over an hour between him being unclear and then putting me on hold. He finally told me that they would do this at check-in. He made no mention of the check. I wanted the paperwork ahead of time to avoid problems, but I said ok. I told my staff who checked in at the hotel to make sure he took care of the paperwork. He told them at check-in we were tax-exempt and gave him the tax-exempt certificate along with our check. The person who checked him in said he would take care of it. He didn't ask for any paperwork beyond the certificate, and he accepted the check. Then, they charged my card without authorization and did not use the check. They called and told us they could not refund taxes because they had already charged me and did not have the tax-exempt paperwork ahead of time. I called and talked to someone about this, and they forwarded me to the person they said had the check. It went to voicemail, and I left a message to speak to them, but they never called me back. I called back, and the person told me that checks must be sent ahead of time. This was never communicated to me when I called the weeks prior. In addition, she said they could not refund our taxes but that I had to apply to the state of Colorado to refund the taxes. She said she would send the paperwork as well as my receipts. I have not yet received those, and I believe they should refund my taxes rather than making me do additional work and wait for a refund that may not happen due to their incompetence. We had five rooms for three nights, so taxes are a significant amount of money, especially for a public school. She was also very rude and did not care that their mistake created a problem on our end. We have used them many times but will no longer stay here.

We had a sewer line issue, and had to leave the house for one night. Luckily, the Hilton Garden Inn had a room for us. I can't say enough good things about the hotel staff! They were so welcoming, and helpful - Jed, one of the hotel staffers, even stopped by our room to see if we needed anything else after housekeeping had brought us extra pillows for the beds. Beds and pillows were comfortable, and A/C worked great. The showerheads could be updated, but that was the only suggestion we could make to improve the room. We had dinner at one of the restaurants nearby, and it was nice to just walk back to our room. Breakfast buffet is not included with the room, however. Definitely recommend this hotel for a short or longer stay.

The hotel is nice. Room is big, comfortable, clean, quiet and modern. Hotel is situated in a very busy and congested area, in a retail complex with some restaurants. Parking was confusing. I parked in an underground garage that appears to serve all of the retailers in the retail complex and it was advertised as free on a sign when you enter the complex. There was no method to charge upon entry or exit. However, upon check in, the employee asked me if I needed a parking pass. I asked why I would need one and they told me that the Hilton Garden Inn is charging $12 a night for parking. I disputed the charge, but the employee just said "sorry" and took no action. The hotel was expensive (though typical for the area) for what it was and then adding the parking fee was a turn off.

What a beautiful hotel!! The amenities are incredible and convenient! Super cool restaurants are nearby. Each staff member was super friendly and professional!! And did I mention that overall everything was very neat & clean!

Person who checked us is did not provide any information about the hotel, didn’t ask if we were parking and didn’t even swipe a card just used what was on file. Paid to have breakfast only to find out that breakfast was not served on the days of our reservation. This was discover after waiting at the desk for over 10 minutes for help. There wasn’t any staff to be found. No explanations, customer notices. Nothing.

This hotel is OK....but could be so much better. Parking cost $$, the location is nice though with several bars and close by restraunts. The breakfast was shut down due to not enough staff which sucks. Our room was not cleaned or turned over and after 3 days we asked for a turn over. They said is was due to lack of staff

The location and comradeship is amazing here. If you have a problem they are very quick to get it resolved. Many little eating places around, pool/hot tub, bar, and restaurant area. Also a pretty decent little patio section.

We stayed here for 3 days and it was decent. Staff was nice and the room was clean and ready. However I only have a slight gripe about the cleanliness of the indoor pool. We went to use it and the hot tub portion was brown on the walls. The pool definetly needs a water change and a good scrub. I also wished that there was a noise level rule when in the pool area since it is very echoey and it gets pretty loud quickly due to it. Otherwise everything was good!

Hotel is decent. Bed was comfortable. Location is nice as there are several restaurants in the same parking lot which is convenient when you do not have transportation. There are also complimentary water bottles. That is probably where the good parts end. Shower took forever to heat up and there was no fan in the bathroom. Upon checking in, the clerk had to use the bathroom (as he told me this) and so I felt rushed checking in but relayed that I had no car. The "restaurant" was not opened that night, and I was informed that it was only open Tuesday through Saturday. The next morning, I went down for breakfast and was informed there was only a cold breakfast (this is something that would have been nice to know the night before). I also only found out about the complimentary water from other people in my training. I feel that there should have been better communication regarding this stuff when I checked in. "Hot" breakfast is boxed up for you and is alright. Upon checking out, I checked my invoice/receipt as I had read other reviews regarding being charged for parking. Sure enough, I had a parking charge ($12/night) for every night I had been at the hotel. For me this was an extra hassle of having to go back and discuss the charge to have it taken off when I clearly had told the first check-in clerk that I had no car. Honestly, I feel like it's ridiculous that you have to pay a fee for parking. And I normally do not check my invoice and so, this could have been a bigger hassle calling back had I not read other reviews. I overheard one check-in clerk yelling at someone over the phone who was trying to dispute a charge.

Excellent stay! Hilton gardens are by far my favorite. The front desk staff here at Cherry Creek were super nice and the hotel was super clean. Definitely my go-to hotel for this area in Denver.
