A small wings joint that would not be out of place in a New Orleans neighborhood, or in some other Southern city.The space? No place to sit, just a tall counter for ordering. The staff? Very friendly and accommodating.And the food? Very good. I went there for a catfish dinner for my wife, and a hot link sandwich for me, with fried okra and greens on the side for us both. The catfish came in three large pieces, and were a lovely golden brown, flaky and tender inside. The hot link sandwich was robust, crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside, with tangy, rich bbq sauce. The okra was good, but there was so much we didn’t finish it.The wings look good… for next time! They offer a whole bunch of sauces and salsas, all enticing. I had the mango habanero and it was very tasty.This is a good restaurant and definitely one of the best as we search for the best catfish in Denver.
We just happened to be in the neighborhood and wanted some catfish. I yelped it and this place came up. The restaurant was clean and and fella that took our order was friendly. We were told it would be a 30 min wait but ended up being an hour wait. It was worth it but if one was on a lunch break it might be too long of a wait. It’s might be better to place your order on line or over the phone for pickup.We ordered 2 catfish dinners Mac n cheese greens, fried cabbage , honey bbq wings and a iced coffee. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING! I would most definitely be back and I live on the other side of town…ok! Thank you for good service. Keep up the good work

Best chicken wings in Denver! Way bigger and meatier than any other place I had. They were sauced up perfectly and had a lot of sauces to choose from. Service was a 10/10 as they bring your order to your car or table outside! We’ll be back
Glad to try Genna Rae’s to get away from the chain wing joints. The size of their wings are perfect. Not too big to where the inside might be iffy, and not too small to leave you wondering where the wing went. Really impressed by the size of the sides, esp. the okra, BOOM! Will be back.
Top 3 wings I’ve had in Denver. However there is a catch… there is nowhere to eat, so be mindful of that. Know what you want and order at least 30 minutes ahead of time or you will be waiting in your car for 30 minutes. Also, I wasn’t a fan of the sides, not much seasoning. Overall, If you’re looking for a good wing. You’ll like this place
I absolutely love the food! I got the jerk chicken dinner with the six wings and I love how everything was under 20 bucks! The sauce I chose for the wings was the garlic hot and it was the best sauce I’ve ever had and I don’t remember ever having jerk chicken this good! The red beans and rice are delicious! The only question I have is do the cakes change on a daily basis? The owners and the other people at the restaurant were super nice when I called to ask them about their desserts before placing my order on Uber eats.I saw some other reviews about how long the wait is but I want to mention that when people are getting homemade fresh food it’s worth the wait. Please keep up what you’re doing I will be calling back soon about your cake selection and I will definitely be ordering more food from you soon, please take all the time you need to cook it because I want homemade hot fresh food. It’s worth waiting a few extra minutes! I hope the people reading this review remember that there is true soul in this food and please let the kitchen staff take their time cooking it. It came to my door piping hot and the packaging is perfect.One final thing I want to mention is that super delicious Texas toast! I wish it was offered as an add-on that way we could add more slices. If it is then I didn’t see it on the Uber eats menu and I would love to add a few extra slices to my next order!
The wings were solid. They had some crazy flavors.Also, the staff were really fun to talk to!
Ribs were tough. Wings were alright. The Mac was soupy and flavorless. The red beans were trash. Truth be told, the piece of toast was probably the best tasting part of the meal. If you want some really fire wings, Try smoking yard. Infinitely better.
In general the food was amazing! Out of 3 flavors of wings only one was dry. The others very saucy and tender. Banana pudding was amazing, not so much the peach cobbler. My main complaint was the service. Was told 20 min wait that took 45 min. That was very poor Customer service and to see the girl before me have just as much food ordered and she left on time. Not okay.
