Great place that is always hoping! Plenty of bar games and a variety of bevero. Sometimes the line to get in can be long, but it will move quick. Make sure y just get a table. There are usually food trucks nearby and a variety of other bars, so an ideal location.The bouncers may be derogatory if they don't respect you.
Paid $50 for me and a friend who didn’t like her food, I found a hair melted in with the cheese in my food, the music was so loud our table couldn’t hear each other, and our waitress was barely around. Embarrassing to have to review this for others to not go here it’s not a good vibe for out of town friends either. It was so promising when it first opened.
The service was great but I wasn’t super impressed with the food. The mahi mahi taco was my favorite of the three I got. The spicy fried chicken was really disappointing, especially because I was the most excited for it. It just didn’t have enough flavor and was also most fried batter and not a lot of chicken. The salsas provided weren’t very good and the chips were meh. The nachos were a waste of money and I would definitely not get them again. I also didn’t love the vibe - it was too loud with blaring music, and too many people - but I know for others that might be exactly what they’re looking for! To each their own. I probably won’t be back but I’d recommend it to others for a fun tex mex spot on a weekend.
the bouncer is not friendly at all all he cares about is checking id's which I get but from someone out of town asking questions.... super rude
When i say it was CROWDED, it was indeed. We didn’t see a single soul to wait on us at our table for over 30 minutes. The margaritas were okay, but everyone enjoyed their food. If you can’t stand a crowd, i recommend a weekday visit.
We had such an amazing time in Federales Denver ! We were able to enjoy some delicious food, too. All of our tacos were so flavorful and fresh- made just how we asked with no toppings or flavors added - which is always a relief when you’re craving something salty/sweet after eating several courses full of raw meat ;) My absolute favorite thing about this place? The margarita I ordered...it's impossible not to want another one immediately after taking that first sip.
Federales has very different experiences depending on when you go. Friday, Saturday and Sunday night it's a huge party scene which I personally try to avoid.During the week and for lunch on the weekend it's a chill spot to grab a margherita and some tacos. Their food is actually pretty good and it's worth stopping in just for that. The burrito is enormous.

Had a fun time. Three stars because the wait staff misread our order and brought us the wrong tables food and bouncer was quite unfriendly, too boot. It's 2022, there no need to be rude for no reason, and bringing food to the wrong table during COVID is sloppy. The food was good, or I'd be rating lower. Maybe you will have better staff when / if you go. I hope so.
Tasty & lively! This place is a party. With a massive patio and ice-shot-glass throwing, Federales is always ready to have a good time. Their team is attentive & friendly. Order their queso, it’s massive and very cheesy-gooey. Bonus? Chips and homemade salsa come with every table.
