Their veggie savory galettes are among the top 5 tastiest food items I have ever had. Everything about this place is lovely- the staff are swift and kind, wifi is reliable (though I would recommend this spot for reading and/or meeting people over working on a laptop as it gets fairly busy), and the baked good are otherworldly. Truly an outstanding Denver establishment
Good coffee and amazing baked goods. 4/5 because the internet was terrible, the environment is not very well suited for work. I imagine it would have been much better with decent internet but we unfortunately left after 10 minutes because none of us could get anything to load.
Devil’s Food Bakery, in the Wash Park neighborhood, has so many delicious bakery treats available. I didn’t see any gluten-free options, but that didn’t stop me from getting treats for the family. My craft coffee - mocha - was tasty and delicious. And, I absolutely loved the dated architecture, shelves, heaters, and fixtures inside. The place has such a wonderful, vintage personality. The decor and all the treats make me want to come back. The shop has a variety of merchandise for sale. The Café is woman-owned.Street parking is available. Complimentary wi-fi is also available.
My favorite bakery in the Denver Metro area. When I'm looking for a treat, I drive in from Aurora and have never been disappointed.Finding parking can be tough and there may be a line, but the staff moves quickly. The tarts (lemon, butterscotch or chocolate) the croissants (savorybor sweet) the buckeyes and chocolate mint sandwiches are all good.Well worth the drive.
Excellent cakes, tarts, and cookies. Butterscotch tarts are the best. The Chocolate tarts are like mini french silk pies. Espresso butter cream is delicious and melts in your mouth. The booze soaked cake reminded me of a wonderful french bakery that closed years ago. Best sugar cookies around Denver this far. Perfectly soft and chewy center with crispy exterior. Love that you can pre-order for a party . The walnut croissant is delicious and perfectly textured too!
I got a kouign-amann and an almond croissant. Both were outstanding. And they had so many other delicious looking things as well. Can’t wait to go back.
A really cute and affordable spot to grab baked good, a casual brunch, and coffee. The place gets crowded on the weekends but it’s worth the wait.
I cannot stress how good this place is. I have been coming to this bakery since 2017 every time I find myself in Colorado. The coffee is great (I usually get the almond cardamom with oat milk). I only wish they offered 16 oz option. The pastries and desserts are absolutely delicious. I recently tried the queen, the ham and guyere cheese pastry, the scone and the sweet potato poblano and goat cheese pastry and all of them were absolutely and insanely delicious.
We purchased one each of the 3 croissant and 3 scone varieties offered for a total of just under $25. The croissants were good. Flaky crust, moist and gigantic. The scones were very disappointing. Dry, tasteless and just a couple of tiny pieces of fruit in those 2 varieties. More like bone dry biscuits than scones. No prices displayed or option for a printed receipt.
This is my favorite place in Denver. The staff, the pastries, the coffees are all incredible. We come here as often as we can and we’ve never had something that wasn’t delicious. Our favorites are the almond croissant and the cinnamon roll but you can’t go wrong here with any of their pastries.
