I have not been treated this rudely in a while. Walked in after being recommended to come check out the main store by a staff member at a farmer's market by East High School, so I did. Found their location, looked open, went in, and my wife and I were both accosted by guests saying this was a private party. No signs, no nothing. It felt like they were enjoying being rude to people who came in on accident. I will never go back if this is how they run their business.
I had my birthday party here last week and it was amazing. The staff is great and extremely accommodating. Chris A. is a great host and very informative. I can’t express my gratitude for this experience. Oh and their drinks are fantastic as well as pretty!
Whiskey flight had a lot of variety; came home with a bottle of rye. Would have liked to bring home the smoked rye but they were not selling bottles at this time.Parking was horrendous.
Fantastic drinks to be found here. Zachary the bartender was an awesome guy and made awesome drinks. I particularly liked the 5 cent advice I think it was called (apple pie and baking spices). I wanted a sweet after dinner cocktail and it was perfect (not too sweet either). The setting is neat, supposedly haunted too.If they still have the Applewood smoked whiskey, and you like smokey scotches or leather oriented flavors (e.g. lagavulin 16) give it a try. I'm not saying it's 10+ year old whiskey, but it is a nice micro product with really a experimental attempt on rye. Has lapsong souchong tea in it too, a very interesting rye indeed
Booked a third party event that was supposed to go through this establishment and offer drinks, stories of the haunted history, etc. Neither of those things happened however because they double booked us over a private party that would not let us enter (not even to use the restroom). When we did attempt to enter the staff were extremely rude and told us to leave so we had to do that part of the tour outside even though they let the first tour group go through 30 minutes prior. Also, not to mention, the people in the private party were extremely rude like it was our fault we bought tickets to an event over a week ago. None of this was told to our tour guide and the booking event also knew nothing about a private party happening. They probably just thought they would make more money from the other group so they turned us away. Denver Distillery lost out on money from an entire group and lost our respect. We will not be back and we will think twice before we book events in the future that involve this establishment.
We had a 3rd party tour scheduled and the Denver Distillery was partnered with this company and was on the list of places to tour. They apparently had another event going on and wouldn’t let us in to do the tour we had already paid for. I understand things come up and can change but the employees here were so rude when we tried to enter to do our tour. They were not friendly and did not apologize for overbooking events. The people attending the event were also being rude to us as if we were supposed to know that they’d overbooked their building and events. I never write reviews but felt this was needed because I was really unimpressed with their employees and professionalism. I unfortunately wouldn’t recommend this place.
HAPPY vibes everywhere. Everyone was so sweet and kind. This place was like heaven- soothing every wounded heart. You definitely wouldn’t wanna miss the meditation & light show- it’s the HIGHLIGHT. It’s visually pleasing so don’t forget to take pictures, but at the same time enjoy the moment. There are other things to do too like looking at cool artworks, buying from the gift shop, and getting a massage. I fell in love with this place and couldn’t wait to return.
Great tour offered up by Chris, super informative and great discussion! Followed up by a tasty flight of unique libations
Great tour and tasting for our party of 6. Chris was so informative and so very passionate about what they are doing. It's so rare to find a place that makes there own alcohol from local ingredients, instead of sourcing it from Indiana like so many other places do. All their liquors are great, but for me the spiced rum was a home run.
Great drink concoctions, awesome staff, GF options. Highly recommend!!!
