Loved the wine and charcuterie board we ordered. Nothing beats the goat cheese (balls?) we had to get two orders of! Works well with a wine flight. Wonderful atmosphere sitting outside with the string lights, violinist, and beautiful people walking around. Perfect place to go day or night.
I love the ability to taste different wines for the price of one regular sized glass. What a nice option. The goat cheese beignets are absolutely fabulous! The pear and gorgonzola pizza was also delicious. I will be back for these delightful dishes and to try others.
Great ambiance, we sat at the bar since all the tables outside were taken. Great wine selection, and food option. I like exploring flavors and getting to know more about wines so picked Pinot Noir $20 flights (another great thing the place offers). On the menu besides pizza, and main course you can find variety of small bites as well as charcuterie board (that’s what I’ve got). Meat and cheese were fresh. It was a quick stop on the way home but I can definitely recommend the place. Great for a date, girls night or even quick stop for a glass of wine and snack.
Great wine flights, service, and great pizza. 3 pies is more than enough for 4 ppl. Highly recommend.
This restaurant is a gem! Beautiful, intimate, cozy decor! Great food and wines! Reminds me of the little bistros in Paris! Love the vibe!
The wine was amazing! We didn't get food, this time, but the menu looked AMAZING so we will definitely go back for a full meal.
A super cozy wine bar on a very charming street. Excellent selection by of wines, great snacks, and outstanding bartenders.
Overall a wholly disappointing experience. We dined at CRU for new years eve dinner. Upon making the reservation we were not informed it would be a limited $75/person menu. If the food had been palatable the price may have been warranted, but everything was either under or over cooked and significantly underseasoned. Some examples: the prosciutto on my appetizer was overcooked and tasted like salty leather, the risotto that came with my fish had shells in it and the rice was crispy (it was far from anything that resembles risotto), my partners' potatoes were both undercooked and dried out, the lamb was ordered medium rare and came well done. When we brought the issues to the attention of the wait staff we were offered new lamb to go, and since they were out of risotto, more potatoes. The new lamb we received was almost raw and the potatoes had the same problem as the first batch. On top of that, we waited over 30 minutes between courses, and at the end of our meal were rushed out, being asked if we wanted to take our desserts to go rather than eat them there, since they were trying to close. All of this to find out that the head chef wasn't even there and we heard the staff discussing how they "shouldn't have even been open tonight" as we were getting ready to leave. The best thing we had was the bottle of wine.
What an absolutely abysmal experience. We were not in a hurry, we were fine to wait for service, and after spending time downtown we just thought it would be nice to stop for a glass of wine. The miserable man with black hair and black facial hair was absolutely bothered by us simply asking for a table, would not listen to anything we had to say, and just kept repeating the same thing and speaking over me, saying that he just wanted to make sure he could get someone to serve us, as if he was doing us a favor. He was condescending and was clearly in a bad mood. We were the most easygoing customers you could imagine, we tipped well, and we took very little time of the wait staff. We were dream customers, but even though this was only the fourth time of ever going to Cru, I will never go back. I am sorry you are shortstaffed. But raising your voice and making customers feel unwelcome is not a good look. I can guarantee you that next time, I will just enjoy a nice bottle of wine at home so that I don’t interrupt whatever it was you were in the middle of.
Wonderful food and selection of wines. There were over 12 or so flights to choose from and catered to a bunch of different tastes. We ordered the cheese and charcuterie board which were fantastic and the server was very knowledgeable on both the cheeses and wines. The PIZZA was INCREDIBLE!! and didn't make it for a photo. We really enjoyed our experience here
