Been coming here since I had to use a fake ID to get in while still in H.S. in the mid eighties. Glad it's past the statute of limitations on that admission. This place hasn't changed much over all this time, and it doesn't need to. Seen many great comics over the years as they work their way up. So many, couldn't possibly count. This is a fantastic venue for comedy and many comics say they love working it. I believe them. This night Sam Tallent was the headliner and he killed. Granted, had a couple good drinks in me by the time he came up, but I know a comic who is comfortable on stage when I see them.I think there's still a two item minimum, but I easily blew past that. Can't recommend enough for a great night out.

I have been to a few shows at the downtown location and have always had a great time. The cocktails and food have always been great. Once the headliner had to cancel due to airline delays. Comedy works offered to give a refund and even put on a free show that night.I have taken my parents to a show and my father is in a wheel chair. The comedy works staff was incredibly accommodating. I can’t say enough good things about the Comedy Works, it is a great spot and always a great time.

Best comedy club in Colorado, hands down. Love the small intimate feel of this place, located in a cozy dark basement atmosphere. Always class A acts passing through and the newer comedians that take the stage are always worth the affordable ticket price. Drinks are strong and great, extensive selection of both food and drinks. Always a good time and lots of laughs at Comedy Works.

Denver Comedy Works is my favorite night out! With two fantastic clubs in the city, and a constant calendar of hilarious comedians at affordable prices, this is my go-to for a great night. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the local openers are great, and the drinks are decent. At this point, I've been to easily 30-50 shows between the two Comedy Works venues within the last five years, and I plan to continue going to many, many, more. Thanks Comedy Works!

5-stars for management and staff. They, above even the customers, deserve to have better seating arrangements in this venue. I bet they’d enjoy not having to handle drink-filled trays over dozens of stacked knees and feet.It almost hurts to think about how a group of people agreed to fold humans over one another with their “table” design.Math & engineering was applied on how to best squeeze folks together in the tightest pattern possible. And it sucks, because so many comedians talk about how amazing this club is, but I doubt any of them have ever had to sit in the audience.

The act I went to see was amazing and the service was pretty good. Took a bit to get our first drink order placed but after that we were regularly serviced which is different from our past experiences. They take and seal your phones up in a case to keep you from them only gripe about that I had was that my phone was too big for their case so they said I either had to take it out of the protective case so it would fit or be ejected which seems a little unfair since I didn't know about the phone rules in the first place. Just something to be aware of.My biggest issue with the place is how they pack you in like sardines. Be prepared to be uncomfortable with someone right up against you for the whole show. They use basically folding chairs with no arm rest and a drink holder every 2 seats. They don't seem inclined to sit couples in the 2 seats together so you end up cuddling a stranger unintentionally for the whole show with your date being separated by the cup holder. God forbid you or the person next to you is overweight because I'm not that big but I was edge to edge on the chair. And they are touching so there isn't any wiggle room. I'm tall as well and my knees were against the seats in front of us. Definitely made for an uncomfortable viewing experience. I also didn't see any options where you weren't so crammed together.

Great drink service and server staff. They wear masks even though patrons aren't required to do so. The space is cozy and can feel crowded but it's worth it. We saw Brian Posehn, who killed that night. Also, Irene Tu opened for Brian and she was absolutely hilarious. You should check her stuff out.

Fantastic venue, great beers, great time, good vibes and attentive staff.I wish I could give 4.5 stars because one of the staff asked me how many beers I was on when I asked for my third, I wasn't talking or being rowdy at all I just wanted more beer.My ego definitely got the best of me and I was a bit annoyed by that question but I understand they might have a drink cut off they need to enforce or maybe he lost track for the sake of my bill so I don't know if I can really fault them for that.Regardless, great time!

I love Comedy Works! Employees are kind and the drinks are great. For everyone complaining - two drink minimum and close seating is a standard of comedy clubs. They always have great performers and it makes for a great night out in Denver!
