My husband and I went to Chez Maggy last weekend to celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary and we had a wonderful experience! Everything we ordered - escargot, ratatouille, duck à l'orange and pastries - was delicious. The staff provided attentive service and made our meal extra special. Highly recommend for amazing French cuisine, excellent service, and lovely ambiance!
Amazing French cuisine and cocktails! Foodie lovers spot. Save room for dessert, so pretty and delicious I forgot to take a photo. Also amazing service, very friendly and welcoming. The interior design is also on point.Thank you Chez Maggy for a lovely evening. I'll be back soon.
The bar is very beautiful and the restaurant has nice decor as well. The food was good but not great. We had the duck, escargot, carrot salad, and and mussels - All tasted fine except for the carrot salad; a bit weak and difficult to eat (pieces were too long). I was hoping to have an experience that matched my extensive travels to France but it fell short. Lastly, the timing was off - long wait periods in between courses. I wouldn’t tell someone not to try out Chez Maggy, but it’s not at the top of my recommendation list.
I had high expectations and they were exceeded! The service was fantastic and the complexity in flavors, wow. Everything from the baguette to the main courses were exceptional and didn’t leave me wanting. The desserts are also fire.
Solid French cuisine in Denver. Excellent upscale atmosphere and rich, flavorful food. We had the filet, burger (which is a unique experience in of itself) and the onion soup. Amazing all around.
Let me preface this by saying we go to new restaurants a few days a week and we don’t remember having better service than we had at Chez Maggy! All the staff were very attentive, incredibly nice and just made us feel really good. The chef stopped by a couple times to ask how we liked the food, and gave us multiple appetizers on the house. Fantastic service! The food was 10/10. All the dishes had an interesting, delicious twist to it. Foie gras beneigh, escargot and mussles were great but bison bourguignon was our favorite! We will definitely be back.
A cozy fine-dining French restaurant with a unique menu. I enjoyed their savory beignets and wine selection. The staff were friendly and made great suggestions to us. The location is perfect on Denver’s busiest street, near public transportation, and walking distance to some hot spots like Dairy Block and Union Station.
I have had breakfast and lunch here and enjoyed every meal. The french inspired dishes are delicious as well as the cocktails. I'm glad Chez Maggy has been added to LoDo. Definitely stop by for a French 75 and try the avocado croque monsieur!
This place really knows how to make you feel special. My boyfriend took me as a surprise for my birthday and we were greeted with warm smiles and champagne. Everything from the bread, to the Boston lettuce salad to the entrees (ratatouille for me, the vegetarian, and the chicken confit for his main). And my lord, those pomme frites. When it came time to dessert, it became comical. They brought us the two desserts we were debating between…for free. As we were paying, the chef brought out a third (an extra from the kitchen). Listen..I don’t know how we walked out of there on our own. Best birthday dinner I’ve ever had. Thanks to Jessica, Bill and the entire team for a spectacular night.Make a reservation now, you will not regret it!!!
I stayed at the hotel over a 3 day weekend and did not want to dine anywhere else but here. It was that good. We had the privilege of trying various items off the breakfast, cocktail and dinner menu and everything was perfect. Outstanding service as well. The french toast was simply out of this world. Staying at The Thompson or not, you need to check Chezz Maggy out.
