This was a pretty standard pub with a decent selection of local beers. Service was friendly, the wings were good- just what you'd expect from a regular pub.
Had to evacuate our apartment due to a gas leak! Eek! The staff was so accommodating for not only my group (3 humans, 2 dogs & 2 cats) but also for 2 other groups. Having evacuated in a hurry, some of us forgot our wallets, the staff was eager to help with payment processing! A+ staff also provided sanctuary for another restaurant's staff which had recently burnt!
Great food and atmosphere. The staff is nice, and even made a little dish of ice cream for my mom, even though it wasn't on the menu. Wonderful place!
Great environment, great service, fantastic food! My friends and I have always enjoyed going to Cap City Tavern! I like getting the chicken and fries, mozzarella sticks, and their burger. My significant other said the salad was really good too. I think their fries are homemade, which is what I'm all about! I suggest sitting on the patio and enjoy the sights, and people! The staff has always been really nice, and outgoing! I will be returning!
Food and drink were good but service was incredibly slow. I realize service industry is very tough but it took 45 minutes for our group of 8 to get our first drink.
Stopped for lunch between museum visits. Friendly waitresses and food and beer were fine. Would go again if in the vicinity.
Pretty good overall. Location and the service are good. The food's is pretty decent and the prices are reasonable considering the location.Just four stars because their cocktails are weak and their house wine is horrible. Don't know if they had opened a bottle a couple days ago and it had been sitting out for a day or two?In any case, I brought the wine to the bartender's attention and she did replace the house wine with the next upgrade for free ?I also went to a double Jack Daniels on the rocks after the weak cocktail and that was a good pour.Thanks!
Our experience was overall very good. Food was fresh, service was very good and portion sizes were large. Great onion rings and burgers.Lots of locals here. Our visit was marred by vulgar outrageously loud rap music blaring in our ear at 5 PM making it virtually impossible to talk with our guests and to watch the game. Um It’s not a nightclub and it was still afternoon. The guests across from us were seated then immediately left because of the volume. ( my first hint was when she put her fingers in her ears) . Such a shame as the food was tasty. If I have to shout my order to the server , there is a problem . Next time I’ll sit outside!
Jesse the service person was super nice and helpful. The selection of beers is substantial, if not remarkable. And the burgers are made with wagu beef and fantastic. They also have some great gluten-free choices. Do recommend!
It's a true Tavern. Bit dark, pool table, good bar table seating. Chicken wings are bomb, cooked to perfection. Service for a table of six people wandering in off the street was on point.
