A friendly, neighborhood restaurant with a great ambiance and varied menu. We enjoy coming back again and again.

Food was delicious, but service was meh. Our server seemed put out at our reasonable requests, and was unwilling to ask the kitchen for simple modifications to our orders. Fortunately good food is usually more consistent than bad service.

The chicken pesto is SOOOO good. Highly recommend this place for a good bite to eat or a romantic date night dinner

The food is always fantastic. The wait staff are amazing.

Everything was delicious! The housemate bread sticks with procuittio and burrata were simple perfection. Fettuccine with shrimp was delicious and the tiramisu to finish was lovely and light and perfect ending to the meal. The service was pleasant and they were attentive. We will be back!

Good menu, tasty food, great server, nice ambience. Will definitely return.

Review Time!!Went local for dinner.. this amazing Italian Restaurant is hidden and has never been a disappointment!!! When we want a fancy dinner and have a reason to splurge we come here! This place is Michelin Star worthy! Romatic vibe, indoors lit up by the fire brick oven and candles on every table. Indoor/Outdoor open concept onto their lovely out door patio. Neighborhood locals all over, walking to the across Biergarten, Airplane Museum or Ice Cream Shop and renting a Tandem bike riding around. Great vibe!! Our waiter Matt was so personable and hilarious. His customer service was impeccable!Time for the food: We both decided to try something new this time, but my reason for going here is the memorable Gnocchi. I would drive hours to get this if I lived far. Best I've ever had! However, We started with a Bottle of Pinot Grigio ($44) and Bread w/Basalmic & Oil ($8). For Entreès We ordered the Braised Short Rib Ravioli in a Crimini Mushroom sauce ($24) and MY GOD if I ever imagined heaven in my mouth this IS IT!! We also ordered the Cioppino ($28) the brothy tomato sauce was so delicious, seafood so fresh and cooked to perfection. Nothing chewy or over cooked. Muscles, Clams, Octopus, Calamari, Shrimp and Fish danced in this broth with homemade spaghetti noodles. BOTH dishes so so so GOOD!! As if I could eat more, we finished with the Crème Brûlèe ($9)..BEST CELEBRATION DINNER EVER!!!! Thank you to our waiter Matt for making it a great experience!!

Matt was terrific! We loved seeing our friend, Rico!!! And the drinks and all the delicious food was amazing! Mussels and clams - pear salad - Bolognese and Carbonara!!! Magnifique!!! Excellente!!! We walk to this restaurant, have a full and filling evening and walk home. It is about 3 miles for us!!! Cafe Mercato…we will be back soon!

We've dined at Cafe Mercato many times but had not been recently. While our friends enjoyed their entrees, the seafood salad was comprised mostly of the calamari bodies and very little other seafood. The Caesar salad for $18 seemed small and to charge $2 to split it, and $6 for a small basket of bread seemed like a gouge. After dinner, we ordered 3 espressos. After our server had brought the check she came back later and said that she forgot to put the coffee on our checks and picked both checks up to go add the charge. It was only coffee, not cappuccinos, it would seem that she would just mention it and let it go. We would have considered it great service and tipped her for it. The atmosphere was nice with the doors open to the patio but overall the the dinner seemed overpriced and won't return anytime soon. I realize the restaurant industry was hit hard with the pandemic but we've all suffered from it and now with inflation, it makes us look for better values when we dine out.

The food was very good. Couldn’t tell if our waitress hated us or was just having a bad day. We went to the bar after dinner for our dessert because waitress was nowhere and we wanted different service. She found us tho…
