Came in on a Saturday night for dinner with a group of 4. We were early for our reservation but they were flexible and able to seat us with no problem. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There is an extensive wine list with many interesting offerings. We tried a variety of dishes and everything was very delicious. Highlights were the pate and the duck entree. My only criticism is the caviar bump is small and not worth the $12.
Brian and the whole team at Brasserie Bristol were simply phenomenal—which is saying something given the food they have to compete against. I had the wontons, leeks, and duck with a side of fries. UNREAL. Classy, yet unpretentious, Brasserie Brixtom is a must visit. Can’t wait to come back.
I chose this place for our anniversary dinner after seeing the glowing reviews, and I was so looking forward to some good French food! I lived in San Francisco before moving here, and to say I was spoiled by top notch French cuisine is an understatement. I feel that Denver is sorely lacking in French cuisine, so I am always on the hunt for a good place to get my fix. I am sad to report that this place did not live up to my expectations.I’m not sure if it was an off night for them, but our meal was not up to par. Our server, while nice, did not seem to be very familiar with the menu and had a hard time answering some basic questions about the dishes. My cocktail may have been the highlight of the meal, it was refreshing and well balanced. The French onion soup was pretty tasty, nicely flavored. The broth for the mussels was a bit lacking in flavor. The duck & steak were both overly salty (and we are people who love salty & savory food!). The duck was also over cooked and quite dry. The Napoleon dessert was perhaps the biggest let down, it had very strong vinegar flavor that did not belong in a dessert, couldn’t eat more than a few bites. For $180 meal (incl tip), our meal here was not worth it. I hate writing bad reviews, but just giving my honest opinions and sadly I would not recommend.
We go out for date night dinners to try out different restaurants around Denver almost every week. This place is now one of our top favorites! Meals were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious! We had the bread n butter and leeks for starters, which were super yummy, and the steak frites and duck entrees which were absolutely phenomenal! Could not recommend the duck more. The environment is modern and comfortable and the staff were super friendly. We feel the pricing is comparable to similarly rated/styled restaurants for Denver. We did make reservations which was a great idea and will absolutely be returning!
Good food but I won't go back due to poor service and inflated prices. I have dined here several times in the past and had fairly positive experiences. Most of the food here is quite delicious, fresh and made from quality ingredients. The last time though wasn't enjoyable at all. The restaurant is now very stuffy, there's about a foot between your table and the table on either side of you, so you feel very crowded and it gets loud easily (it wasn't like this before). Then I order my food which came out super overcooked, I asked if they could fix it (since the previous times they cooked to perfection) but a manager came out and started to argue with me, telling me they never allow customers to select meat temperature (TRUST me I would not have eaten here multiple times if that were true). Since I came to eat and not argue I said fine ill just eat it, then he came back (maybe felt bad) and said he will redo it properly for us. The food came out again overcooked, no one bothered to check on it or ask, so I ended up not eating most and still paying in full. This may have been a bad one-off, but even if the service was better I'm still not sure it's worth it anymore. They raised their prices insanely, I compared side-by-side and they increased menu items by 40%-70% which is nuts. I get everyone taking another dollar or two but this is ridiculous. I won't come back, since I did have some better experiences in the past it wouldn't be fair to leave a one start review but unless you enjoy good but overpriced food with condensed seating and poor service, I'd stay away.
We had the duck, mussels, leeks, pâté, steak tartare, and fries and it was all so good. The service was fantastic - they had so many good recommendations on both drinks and food. HIGHLY recommend checking it out!
This is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Denver - and my must revisit before I move out of state. I have eaten here many times and it never disappoints. Nick and Kevin bring an amazing experience from beginning to end - the food is outstanding, the wine list fantastically curated, the atmosphere is fun, and the staff is always welcoming and attentive. I could not recommend Brasserie Brixton enough. Thanks for always taking care of me!
Brasserie Brixton consistently impresses. The service and team is top notch from the moment you walk in. The food is always excellent with beautiful presentation. The wine list is well curated and definitely the most fun in Denver. And the owner, Nicholas, is friendly, accommodating, and extremely generous. Hands down, best restaurant experience in Denver!
Excellent feel, neighborhood location. Wonderful mushroom toast and beet burrata. Duck was very good as was the schnitzel. Great service.
This place is amazing! Would recommend the mussels and bread as well as the carrots. All of their food is seasonal and has never disappointed. Also the restaurant ambience is beautiful.
