I’ve been dying to have an excuse to go up to Denver and try Blue Pan Pizza. They specialize and have won awards for their Detroit-style pizza. They also feature other styles such as New York, Chicago Thin-Crust & Gluten-Free, but I came specifically for the Detroit.Upon pulling up around noon on a Wednesday, I was shocked to see that it wasn’t as packed as I originally expected. We were able to be seated and were given waters right away.I ordered the small (4 slices) (Detroit style) Southwestern BBQ Chicken and added NY Ricotta while my wife ordered a small (Detroit style) pepperoni pizza. After about 12 minutes of waiting our orders came out and had steam emulating from both pizzas. We were more than eager to take our first bites of the pizza.Starting with mine, the Southwestern BBQ Chicken hit all of the right notes. The toppings were plentiful and all meshed well together - even the added NY Ricotta! The rich and hearty pizza filled me with happiness after every single bite. The undercarriage of the bread was crisp and offered a fantastic crunch when taking a bite. The bread is top tier - honestly the base is everything in a Detroit style. Not too greasy, not too firm - just right. Especially with it being substantial enough to hold all of the toppings and not emulate any flop is remarkable. The cheesy exterior crust always is a crowd favorite and it was plentiful. Fantastic flavor. My wife equally loved her simple pepperoni pizza. It’s simple, but the basics really stand on their own. She loved how the whole pizza was light and airy. For two high-quality Detroit-Style pizzas at under $40, the pizzas delivered across all categories.Pro Tip #1: Their serving sizes are accurate. A small was plenty for 1 person.Pro Tip: #2: They allow you the option to do 2 different Detroit style pizzas both small and large (excluding their Sweetie Pie flavor).Overall, this is the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life. Anytime I’m coming to Denver, I’m planning my trip around this place.

delicious.Great place for a casual quick bite with great quality. Salad was fantastic, apps were great, pizza was phenomenal. Huge portions, we had multiple meals from our leftovers. We sat at the bar and the service was wonderful. We will be going back soon!

The staff was very nice and the place was packed at lunch. The everyday pizzas and house salad are fine, but if you go off the beaten path and try one of the specialties you won’t regret it. The Parma Italia is fantastic and their Detroit style pizza hit the spot here in CO. Will come again.

I don't have a lot of experience with Detroit style pizza, so we ordered the 3-1-3. There is a lot of dough, but man, is it good dough. A large pizza is cut into 8 pieces and unfortunately, the majority of the toppings were on the middle 4 slices. And it was pricey at 32.00. Next time I will order a New York style or cracker thin Chicago style to compare. The side of spinach was very good and an ample amount. They definitely have the carry-out service down. It took me longer to find a parking spot than to pick up my order! Looking forward to trying Blue Pan again.

OMG! Put your phone down and just go NOW. I can't believe we have waited this long to go and experience this light airy Pizza. Pro Tip: go online to view menu and be ready to order when you hit the table. There is an 1 hour and 40 minute time limit and you want to enjoy each yummy second.

This place does pizza right! This is the 2nd time I’ve been when working in the area. The restaurant itself can get really packed quickly due to its size. There’s a reason many people have given this place high praise. Good is amazing, customer service is top notch, and the bar is equipped with a great selection. The gentleman Gary really makes people feel welcome, which pushes this restaurant over the top. Don’t miss out on this place!

I was in town for only two days and wanted somewhere that wasn’t something I could find anywhere else. This was definitely something different.I had never “really” had Detroit style pizza and this place sealed the deal for this to be one of my favorite styles. I landed on getting the Brooklyn bridge which is a classic with an amazing sauce (that I could have drank), pepperoni, Italian sausage, and dollops of what seems to be the creamiest ricotta.Server was amazing. I didn’t get any names but everyone seemed happy to be there and glad you were there too.

There is a ton of hype surrounding this place and I’m happy to say that it lived up to it! Went on a Monday and it was quiet, service was great. Garlic bread had a subtle garlic butter flavor and the sauce that comes on the side is probably the best I’ve had in Colorado. Both Detroit style and NY style pizza were delicious! Their bacon is super smokey and flavorful too. 5 stars and will be returning again.

This place knows how to make a legit Detroit style pie. We ordered the Brooklyn Bridge and it had a fantastic crust and great flavor overall. The dough had a nice sour note that I look for and the toppings tasted great. Love the cupping pepperoni. I’m from Michigan and this is better than most of the Detroit style pizzas there.

the best birthday experience EVER!! so busy but they carved out spot for us. the pizza is so exceptional it’s hard to talk about much else. but you must. the staff was so kind, so personable, so -dare i say again - exceptional that what was a really nice evening turned into a really special evening. thank you Blue Pan.
