Prices are great but I wouldn't say the food doesn't fill you up even with the generous topping. That's hot dogs for you though. The food does have good flavor for the most part however the wings are not that great. Little meat on the bone and not great quality or taste. One downside was placing my order online. I arrived 10 minutes after the time it said it would be ready and they hadn't even started it. Apparently the alert goes to one of the employees phone and she had it on silent that afternoon they explained. I appreciate the explanation and then prepping my food as quickly as they could but it was still a bit of a time suck I didn't really anticipate or have the extra time for. That made for a poor 1st experience overall. It definitely means I won't be coming back anytime soon. Snarfs across the way earns my business over Billy's. They are at least known to be fast and reliable for online orders and great portions and quality over Billy's.
$5.50 for 5.5 Onion Rings... really? Kind of sad because they were pretty good, too. Dogs were nothing special, but come on....
The hot dog's are pretty good here, however the prices are way too high for a hot dog. Also the hot dogs aren't very big either! The prices versus what you get in return do not even out in my opinion.
Top tier customer service. Greeted immediately and the hostess/cashier gave us honest recommendations based on our questions. Extremely friendly. Food was also a great price and the serving sizes were healthy. Dogs were great. Was it truly the best dog I’ve ever had, no. But you can’t beat the price and how gourmet the overall experience was. Will definitely be going back.
We ❤️ LOVE ❤️ Billy's Gourmet Hotdogs!!! We ordered a TON of different dogs to try & they were all AWESOME!! We tried the Texas Tommy dog, the New York dog, the Denmark dog (which was BOGO❤️), the Kobe Beef dog, the Chicago Italian combo which is an Italian Beef sandwich & you can add an Italian sausage to it if you want (we added it), an order of 3 Cheese fries, & an order of Garlic Pesto Blue Cheese fries.... It was all DELICIOUS!!! We even had some food left for a VERY late night "snack"... Definitely an A+!
On the weekends, I used to drive for Uber and Lyft, great place to take a break and stop for dinner, two gripes, 1. they got rid of the pepsi machine, and the can/bottles are kind of overpriced, secondly, the italian sausage has no difference between mild and hot, only the peppers they serve with it, really wish the sausage itself was hot instead of adding the peppers. Otherwise, really like the place, always friendly staff, food is good quality, appreciate the rewards for frequent diners
I had the original and coney dogs without being aware of how big they are compared to other hotdogs. With the ability to swap ingredients around, it makes it incredibly easy to find the hot dog for you. Fast, prompt service was also excellent.
Went in on Valentines. The Billy dog i ordered was cooked to perfection. Fries are great as well. And the staff was super friendly. Highly recommend this place for a good hotdog. ?
I really wanted to like this place, but I just couldn't get into the food. While the toppings are well-chosen in delightful combinations, I couldn't get over the low quality of the standard Vienna dogs themselves. They were thinner than I'd've hoped and not particularly flavorful. Not a bad place for a quick bite, but not somewhere I'd go out of my way for at this time.
I lived in Chicago for 20+ years and Milwaukee for 20+ years, two sausage and hot dog centric societies and can say that Billy's is legit. They don't right every time.
