I can't speak to the indoors but we reserved one of the little private gazebos in March and it was perfect! You can connect your phone to a Bluetooth speaker to play your own music and they have heaters to stay warm. We were worried about the service because of the outdoor/secluded location but our server was very attentive and helpful the entire time. Food and drinks were great too!
Very good food. Had the bistecca which was very yummy. It was cooked very "well" of medium rare. Wonderful taste. Waiter was very nice and accommodating for our larger group. Had a great time.
Wanted to make a reservation, so was asked to pay 15usd each to secure a table. We chose patio. The restaurant did not disclose that there is a patio next door with a DJ and loud music. I feel that it’s manipulative to require a nonfundable deposit and then not disclose that eating outside with your family involves listening to deafening club music. Food here is good, but I left with a bad feeling about the whole visit. Avoid this patio.
I biked here after my yoga class and had a delicious dinner. I highly recommend a carb-filled meal after an intense workout to up your happiness by 1000000%. The garlic bread was decadent. The hardy crust combined with the soft bread drenched in olive oil and garlic made my endorphins level soar. I got the strozzapreti and it was pretty decent. The pesto was tasty but I wasn’t sold on the pasta. I prefer my pasta much softer than what I had. I’d be down to come back and try something new though. I was eyeing all the margarita pizzas being served around me. The servers were also super lovely and kind. The ambience was high-end but not snooty. I felt very comfortable eating here alone. All in all, I’m glad I gave Bar Dough a try!
absolutely wonderful! we had the calamari, margarita pizza, and the cacio e pepe and all the flavors were to die for. the pizza was absolutely incredible, same with the pasta! the calamari was so flavorful and a great way to start. we finished with the ricotta gelato and blood orange sorbet, also fantastic!! additionally, our server was fantastic and very kind. he provided great suggestions and showed passion for the food. the atmosphere was great and the restaurant worked very well with us on our troubles getting to our reservation on time. thanks again!!
Stopped in to have a hearty meal. Wow! Thier specialty dishes are absolutely fantastic. I tried to calamari dish and was pleasantly surprised. Service was extremely attentive yet not overbearing. The garlic bread in itself is a destination meal. The vibe is vibrant, upbeat, and hip! Nice to see the customer attire picked up a skip from sweats and flipflops. Oh how nice is it to live again..... No masks!
Bar Dough has been on my list for years. Finally made it in and I am kicking myself for waiting so long. Went for brunch and it was one of the best brunches I’ve had in Denver. Ordered the Carbonara and French toast and both were unbelievable. I will 100% be frequenting Bar Dough for brunch going forward. So good!
Bar Dough has a unique vibe with great tastes to be had. The Margherita pizza we had was wonderful, we almost ordered a second! They have a traditional wood fire grill setup for cooking their pizza and the smoky flavor this added was to die for. Bartender was courteous and prices felt appropriate. Would highly recommend and will return.
My husband and I went on an early Valentine’s Day date the other night. I had reserved one of their private greenhouses in advance because I always wanted to try it. So cute! Feels much safer to us than dining indoors right now, but aside from that aspect, it’s also just super intimate and romantic. The only part I would change is that I wished our server wore a mask when coming into the greenhouse. Some of them did, but ours did not. That kind of defeats the purpose of trying not to get exposed. Fortunately there was a little slatted window so that we could vent it for a bit and I’m hoping all is well. We enjoyed the food. We had the Harvest salad to start (not pictured) it was small but tasty. For dinner, we shared the Fungi and Ragazza Bianca pizzas. In both cases, the unique flavor profiles helped to highlight the quality ingredients used. For dessert, we shared the Olive Oil cake, which was the surprising star of the show! It was moist and the flavor profile was a real standout. I would go back just to eat that again!
This place is always awesome. The service is good but the food is even better. Had dinner with a group of friends a few months ago and everything was great. We started with spritz and meatballs, both were great. Then for the mains tried a variety of things including the burrata, arugula salad, the fungi and diavolo pizzas, but the show stopper was the rabbit (I think it was rabbit) pasta. I think the pasta was a seasonal dish, but it was delicious and everyone had food envy for it! The only miss was the price on the arugula salad - the salad was good and light but it was overpriced for the serving size. Otherwise it was great and we'll be back!
