Food was good, coffee was burnt. Also we were charged a higher price than what they have on the menu, beware.
The food is good but you has to make your order one hour ahead because it takes forever, usually they told you 20 minutes but in reality is going to be one hour, there are really bad wit the time
This place is amazing! The food is delicious and leaves me feeling great after every time. One of my favorite places to eat in Denver.
I decided to splurge on myself and get a bit pricy lunch with some special kitfo. They don't serve it raw, which is incredibly disappointing. It was cooked to medium/medium rare, which changes the entire flavor. I always get my kitfo raw, so this was unfortunate. The server explained this is how they do it when I asked for raw.Still tasted yummy, so stars for that.
Don't go expecting fast service...this is authentic Ethiopian food and well worth the wait. Nothing is pre-prepared - everything is made to order. This was truly a special experience and I highly recommend you try it. They also have live entertainment beginning at 9 on Fridays and Saturdays (call to confirm). And, conveniently, they are open most of the night!
I’ve eaten at many Ethiopian restaurants. This is by far 1 of my worst experiences! First let’s say shady business. The menu says 1 price but I was charged another. The veggie combo was $13.95 on the menu but I was charged 18.95 each. The kitfo also said $13.95 and was charged $17 for this. Total $55 for 3 entree’s! Then to top it off it wasn’t even good! It wasn’t spiced nowhere near as good as what I’ve had and was a poor excuse for Ethiopian food. I do not recommend and will not be taking my business here again. If I could give 0 stars is would
The food was good, however, the waitress did not let me know that what I ordered was sold out until I asked for it. I picked food on my husband's plate while waiting for my order so I was very patient. It was obvious from the circumstances and by her reaction that she did not forget my order, thus I would have preferred more honesty and more proactivity.
The food tasted amazing, but the service was slow and they overcharged by $3 or $4 above the menu price for each order. The picture below is of both the vegetarian and meat combos on one platter.
I had never had Ethiopian food before, but the reviews here sold me. I’m happy to say I was pleasantly surprised! My girlfriend and I ordered the veggie platter and meat platter, which they served together on one plate. Each dish had incredible flavor, especially the Chicken. We were suggested to try the honey wine with our meal, which was also sweet and delicious.
