First time at the Wobbly Olive after hearing a few recommendations and 10/10. The food was absolutely delicious. We thought we’d have leftovers but we cleared every plate and even had room for dessert which was this amazing caramel donut sundae. And even with our 7 drinks the bill was under $160. Absolute amazing experience and would recommend to anyone looking for a nice classy meal.
Celebrated my wife's birthday with dinner and martinis. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was relaxed but professional. All the martinis we're excellent. I recommend the Black Cosmo, the Passion Fruit and Honey, and if you are feeling the need for something sweet I'd go with the the Peanut butter Cup. That along with a Prohibition Burger made this a great all around meal. Can't recommend this place enough.
My wife and I finally visited after having The Wobbly Olive on our "to visit" list for a while. Unfortunately, we visited while the menu was pared down, though our waiter assured us that there's a new menu on the way. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms, ricotta bruschetta, and bulgogi poutine to eat and my wife got a black cosmo to drink. The mushrooms were amazing, though the portion was a bit small for the price and the drink was just as good. The bruschetta wasn't my speed but my wife enjoyed it. The bulgogi poutine was far too salty and nearly inedible, though our waiter was kind enough to not charge us for it. The best part of the experience was our waiter, Alex, who was extremely attentive and nice throughout the entire dinner, bringing us clean plates and silverware as we went from one dish to another and generally going above and beyond in all areas of service. I recommend stopping by for drinks and we plan to stop by again after the full menu returns.
Probably the best shrimp and grits I have had in a long time! The Old fashioned was definitely the best I have ever had! Bartender was very friendly and helpful too. I heard they might be changing their menu soon but 100% going back again!
Found this place by accident. Wife and I wanted a drink before our movie so we saw this place and decided to try it. I knew it was going to be good when I ordered an Expresso Martini and he told me he was going to make the expresso for it. We each had 2 martinis and a shot of tequila he recommended. Garret the bartender did not disappoint.
The WO has changed dramatically since here last. We came here to have a meal and were disappointed. The dining area is much smaller than before only table large enough for 6 people was beside the entry door. Had the weather been bad this would have been miserable. As it was it was a pain when groups tried to crowd inside. The table was only large enough for 4 diners to be realistic. The server was immediately there to take a drink order. I ordered a 7&7. The waiter asked what that was. A sign on a window outside the WO advertised "Classic Drinks". They did not have Seagrams. I ordered a Cuba Libre. What is that? I had to explain that drink which they were able to make. Two of the three couples ordered appetizers. The entrees arrived long before the appetizers. The appetizers were removed from the tabs after a snippy response from the hostess. The waiter brought the tab to one couple but had to be summoned to bring the other two tabs. The tabs were also incorrect. I enjoyed the entree but did not care for only 3 entree options on the menu. The bar area is also very loud when it starts to get busy.
The Wobbly Olive went from being an absolute gem to being less than stellar (see my review from a couple of months ago). They renovated the restaurant, blocking off a wall and turning it into a speakeasy. This has dramatically reduced the size of the dining area with a capacity of roughly 25 people. But along with the reduction in physical space has come a reduction in the menu...there are only 3 entrée items listed on the menu. Three...Tres...Drei...Troi. But, the appetizer menu is pretty robust. And the drink menu is 3 pages long. But I was deeply disappointed with the business decision that was made to accommodate the speakeasy, and take a fabulous restaurant and turn it into a place for appetizers.
They really have a unique selection of cocktails and small plates to enjoy. Make sure to get a reservation, because it's a pretty small area and fills up quick. It is also in the middle of a shopping/restaurant area, so be prepared to spend some time looking for parking. It's right next to the movies, so it's great for dinner and then a relaxing movie in a recliner after.
Very good martinis and prices during happy hour. Friendly staff. Tasty dishes. Must make reservation for table but bar seating is an option for walk ins. Small dining area so limited reservations per day.
They are the best mixed cocktails and fun staff.
