We just stumbled upon this place, and we're glad we did!We shared the artichoke dip with chips and vegetables. The bread bowl was warm and fresh. We also each ordered the buffalo chicken wrap. It has a little spice to it, which blue cheese makes it so delicious!Didn't like that the prices were not on the menu. Wasn't quite sure how much we spent until we got our bill. :(

I love this place, settled on the Northwest side of Colorado Springs in the Rockrimmion Neighborhood. They got new ownership in 2019 if you didn't know and it got better. Happy hours is from 3-7pm, reasonably priced drinks, good size menu and good service

We had a TERRIBLE experience here tonight. Oh where to begin. I ordered a quesadilla and specified i only want cheese chicken and shrimp in it(I have a restrictive diet). So our food comes out and mine is wrong,it only has cheese. The waitress said they brought me the wrong plate so no biggie it happens. They bring me a 2nd one with the shrimp and chicken, but also a bunch of peppers(which I cant eat, thus specifying exactly how I needed it). The waitress acted like it was my fault saying "those come standard do you not want them".so she takes it away to get me another one while I sit there watching my wife eat her whole meal because it took a while.meal number 3 comes out and its STILL WRONG.now there is blue cheese and lettuce for some reason. At this point I just dealed and wiped it off with my napkin. After all this the waitress brings us the bill to show us they didn't double charge us for 2 meals. Well I would hope not,you guys messed up! Most restaurants give your meal free after all this, not consider charging you twice. All this i could have dealt with but when we get the receipt the staff had changed our name on the bill to DID NOT LIKE. How rude and inappropriate. We asked for the manager and he didn't seem to care or understand. He took my 3 times messed up food off the bill finally but showed no concern for our outrage. We live across the street and supported them all during the lockdowns but we will never be back

We used to come here a lot during the beginning of the pandemic and had great experiences! Last experience the food was not good at all, but the manager there was great, understanding, gave us free dessert for the issues we had. This time, they messed up my husband's order not once, not twice, but 3 times. The server gave us our check super early and barely checked in on us, I get it, it was a busy night... but not only did they mess up his simple order, but also wrote "DID NOT LIKE" on the "name" portion on our bill. Not sure if their servers know that prints out.... but it does. I've bartended and served before and nothing of that matter should be on a bill and given to a paying customer. Ever. My husband called the manager over to explain the situation and he honestly seemed like he could care less. He changed the name on the bill to "kitchen error" and took off the quesadilla his cooks messed up 3 times. Our dog also didn't get his water we had asked for. Thanks, man. We can sleep tonight. We won't be going back after this.

Crystal was our waitress. Great gal. Made our experience pretty darn good. We had Carne Asada, Pork Burrito, Taco Plate, and Guacamole. All was really good. But the Carne Asada was the very best we’ve ever had. Wow tender and tasty. Anytime in the area we will be back. Siesta in my near future.

Amanda was the best server ever. She bent over backwards to make us happy. Salsa on the Rock is our favorite Mexican place in town.

Great food and service. My wife had the fish tacos and I had the surf and turf burrito. We shared a plate of carne asada fries. All were fresh and delicious. Our server had moved to town recently from out east. She was new, but still provided friendly and fast service. Our orders were served exactly as ordered and the manager stopped to check on our experience as well. Great crew, great food. I will return again and again.

We are from Texas and Arizona and accustomed to very good, ethnic Mexican food. We also owned a hotelito, bar and restaurant in Guerrero, Mexico. Needless to say, we are quite discerning when it comes to Mexican cuisine. Recently having moved to Colorado Springs, we have incessantly been searching for a Mexican restaurant that calls to us. Salsa on the Rock is the best we have found yet. Specifically, the chips and salsa come out right away, and that is important. The chips are fresh and crisp. The salsa is a flight of three different salsas which is a nice touch. All this of course is gratis. We went on a Sunday, which all day has the happy hour rate of three dollars off any appetizer. We had three great appetizers and a grande house margarita with all the chips and salsa, for just $30. The food and preparation was well above average. The pico was carried appropriately by the diced fresh tomatos with the juice well drained off. The hints of green peppers, cilantro, lime, and onion were just in the background as it should be. Very fresh, very tasty. We had the queso with chorizo which was in a perfectly small proportion so as not to be too filling for an appetizer. We also had the steak quesadilla, which was very hearty and substantial…… enough to be a entrée in itself. Our third appetizer was the pork taquitos. These were perfectly crisp, fresh and light and served with very crisp lettuce and queso molido on top. Again, this could be an entrée all by itself. Emily was our server and was very pleasant and attentive. Scott, the manager, received her our positive feedback graciously and was a very pleasant, hands on guy. The background music was quite pleasant, being a combination of oldies and soft country. Never too loud, and I love that. You have got to try this place for all the above reasons. Salsa on the Rock is highly recommended!

Great lunch here. Mahi tacos and Carne Asada very good. Margarita w/ mango so delicious! Gluten free options and great, friendly service !

I went to dinner here with my adult children and granddaughter. All of our meals were really delicious, except for my daughter's. She ordered the Shrimp Ceviche, which is what she usually orders at Mexican restaurants, because it tends to be the blandest item on the menu. She couldn't eat it. At first she thought it was because the shrimp were pickled. After more analysis by her (a dietician) and my son-in-law (a food scientist), they decided that the dish probably had a very bitter cucumber or some other vegetable. At any rate, it was very disappointing.
