A gem in Colorado Springs. Authentic home-style cooking at a genuine family owned and family operated restaurant. Modest, fair pricing and kid friendly. Nothing keeps me coming back more than the owner of an establishment thanking me and checking on on how things are going during our meal.
Delicious Mexican food. Definitely a hidden gem! Forget all other Mexican restaurants in the area, and go here! Big portions, reasonable prices, delicious flavors. Be sure to check hours, not open regular business hours... but we'll worth it!
Loved this place. It was my first time in and it was great. The service was good and the food was amazing. Not to mention the prices. I will definitely be back!!
Wanted to try someplace new. Wife and I ordered Rudy's special #1 which is a beef taco, beef, bean and cheese burrito and a cheese enchilada with beans, rice, salad fixings and red or green chili for $9.99 before drinks, taxes, etc. Meal came with complimentary chips and salsa.House made chips and salsa were served fresh. Salsa was flavorful without being overly spicy. It was a great way to start the meal.Meal was, in a word, excellent. Fresh, flavorful and proportional to cost. Everything on the plate was great.Overall: 5 stars! Food was excellent all around, and portions were perfect for the price.
Probably the best value for excellent food in Colorado Springs. I had the chorizo and eggs scramble, which comes with tortillas to make breakfast tacos. I'm pretty sure the refried beans were house-made! For two people to have meals and coffees came to about $25. Our waitress was super friendly and prompt.
Not a great experience. We love Mexican, and chips & queso are our family favorite but in this case the chips were super stale…we very politely asked for a 2nd basket - same (super stale). The quesadillas were burned and tasted that way. The flour tortillas were hard around the edges. The server was very obviously irritated, but they were not busy at all and made us feel bad. The manager came out and was super sweet. We chose this place based on the previous reviews so we must have just hit it at the wrong time.
Amazing breakfast once again ,Rudy never fails. The stuffed french toast special with bacon sausage and eggs this morning was divine our whole table got them and we all were in heaven!! Always a pleasure, we'll be back again soon!!
Another little secret local spot. Great food, wonderful folks working there. A relaxed nice environment. Great for enjoying the company you brought, and not being rushed. Great for any meal.
Visited recently with a friend at lunchtime. It was my second time there. I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Service was good and food was hot and fresh. Looking forward to visiting again soon.
Menu variety was excellent. And the food was delicious, from the onion rings to the barbeque bacon cheeseburger. The staff was friendly and accommodating. If you are finished touring the Royal Gorge I highly recommend a stop at Rudy's on your way home.
