The staff was super friendly and helpful when I stopped in. The boba was good and the options were fun but overall I was a little disappointed with the drinks. The flavor just was not really there and was a little overpowered by the sweetness. I will stop back in sometime to give it another try but my first impression was not 5 stars drink-wise. However I was impressed with how fast I got my drinks and how nice the employees were.
I got the Black Tiger Pearl Brulee Milk Tea. It was okay - the default sugar level is really sweet. The boba was warm and sweet, but too chewy in the middle. A little disappointed because the reviews seem pretty good.Decor and service were great though. It's a warm inviting place with cute murals and board games to play.
My daughter and I stopped in today for the first time and we'll definitely be back. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the milk teas we tried were phenomenal! We look forward to trying their bao buns next time we stop in.
Thank you for helping us with our first experience with boba tea! We tried the white chocolate tea and it was delicious. Starts with a faint tea taste and finishes with the chocolate flavor.
Royal tea is a nice little boba shop, with custom painted walls, and friendly employees! I frequent this place and am constantly satisfied with my drinks! They use a dairy free milk powder that has a similar taste to real milk. Personally, I can’t tell the difference. Being a health conscious person, I think they add too much sugar, but if you ask for less sugar, they are happy to do so. The owners are also very kind and friendly. Overall, I would highly recommend them, especially if you are looking to expand your tea palate and try something new!
I honestly wanted to give this a rating of 0 stars, but that’s not possible so I’m giving it 1. This morning, I came in to order drinks, but instead walked away with: raw boba, watered down milk tea, and stomach aches. The employee also tried to tell me I didn’t order drinks with boba, when I really did. I hope that I can one day look at this place without wanting to vomit, but I don’t think that day will come anytime soon.
Update: I guess it deleted it but the owner replied saying they’ll talk to the staff and figure out where the miscommunication was in training. I’ll definitely be back! Thank you for caring and replying!I’ll be honest, I’m not one to leave reviews but I’ve loved going to this place for almost a year now. It used to be great and consistent but the last month and a half or so I honestly don’t know what happened. Lately my drinks have been wrong/missing things and I don’t know if it’s because some of the staff aren’t trained properly or if something else changed but it’s sad because it makes me want to go less/ somewhere else. For example, today I ordered a drink and payed extra for cheese cream and it didn’t come with it on. I even tried asking the person who made it if it had the topping on it but it didn’t have it. Cheese cream has a distinctive taste and texture and doesn’t work well with the normal sealed lids (although you can ask for it to be sealed anyways) so I knew immediately it wasn’t there. But I still payed for it. It might not seem like a big deal but it’s not good regardless. Hopefully they can fix whatever’s going on soon.
Must visit. The Boba is perfectly cooked. The herbal jelly is very different and not canned. One of the best cream cheese top. I've tried pretty much everywhere and this is a must try. Sweetness is great without telling them what you want
We were recommended this place by our friends who live in Colorado Springs and Royaltea definitely has something different from any other bubble tea place I tried before! We've visited twice so far, and both times I got the Black Tiger Pearl Brûlée Fresh Milk, the cheese cream on top was sooo good!
I don't typically write reviews, especially a negative review about a small business due to the impact it can have on them. Considering our experience this evening, I feel it is best to share. My daughter ordered the same Coconut drink she's ordered from Royal Tea in the past. After getting our drinks and driving away, she took a sip and said it was terrible, didn't taste right, and mentioned the boba had unusual brown "textured" spots on them.Upon returning and explaining something wasn't right, I handed the drink to a staff member who then said he wanted to taste it himself. Without hesitation he removed my daughter's straw, put a new straw in, lowered his mask, took two sips, and agreed it didn't taste right. If he didn't agree, would he have handed it back to us and said it tastes normal after taking two sips of the drink? If not, why would he even want to taste it?Under normal circumstances, I would never take a sip of a total strangers drink, and absolutely wouldn't even consider it 18+ months into a global pandemic. Not to mention the embarrassment for this business as it all took place in front of 8-10 other customers patiently (and I mean PATIENTLY) waiting for their drinks.Moving on... After taking two sips he threw the drink in the trash can, asked if we wanted anything else, and said we would have to wait as there were numerous drinks to be made ahead of ours. I "reminded" him we already waited and had been given our drinks which they messed up, so ours should be prioritized ahead of the others. He reluctantly "agreed", retreated to the back of the store to make our new drink and started talking with the lady (possibly the owner) making drinks for others. I couldn't hear what she asked him, but I clearly heard him respond saying he already threw the drink in the trash. Did she want to taste it to "verify" it didn't taste right? Based on his responses to several questions, I certainly believe so.All said and done, after this experience, we won't be returning and all four of our drinks and $30 were dumped down the drain, literally.
