Aye well it's Popeyes and the food is consistent. This is a location having staffing problems. Which means they probably aren't paying people a wage enough to get workers. As a result the atmosphere and service that is there suffers greatly
Order online to pick up at counter and it closed. Wait in line 30 mins and are told only dark meat. Love dark meat but if you pay extra for white meat should you not receive a discount for only dark meat. Staple the bag so you dont check and they forgot two items. I always expect bad service at Popeyes but think this might be the last time. Chicken at the grocery story is cheaper, people are nice, and you can see them bag your order.
Absolutly horrible experience at the Popeyes located at Woodman and Austin Bluffs. The so called "manager" Kelly got into an argument with me over making two separate orders AFTER I waited almost an hour in the drive thru line. For supposedly being a manager she was VERY unprofessional & definitely DID NOT look or fit manager status. I guess they'll hire ANYONE off the streets to be a manager. I understand exactly why they are under staffed! I wouldn't even let my 16 year old daughter work there with this type of unprofessionalism because I can't imagine how horrible she treats the employees. I tried to get her name and she wouldn't give it to me. The joke is on her because I can describe her, she is hard to miss, she had a big facial implant piercing under her right eye. She needs to go back to the hole she crawled out of because she should not be able to work with customers EVER! I was called names & told they wouldn't serve me BECAUSE I wanted to make two separate orders after I waited AN HOUR in the drive thru line. I will definitely contact corporate to let them know who is "supposedly" managing this location. Thankfully there's another popeye's down the street with pleasant employees. I will absolutely NEVER return to this location...matter fact they NEED to go out of business with these type of sickening people working for them!
Met their new manager when they opened today. She was very nice and seems like she wants to fix all their problems. Weekend staffing seems to be a major issue for them just like most fast-food places. You can tell the team is trying to turn things around. This was on a Monday. Watched them efficiently help the drive through while I was waiting on my order. They food was hot, fresh and tasty. The service was good, and I didn't have to wait long for my order, which was a rather large one for the whole family. I'd say if you had problems in the past maybe give them another chance because the ladies are trying their best to turn things around. I guess all the bad reviews here must have prompted some change.
Closing early is whatever. I understand the staffing issue. Just figure out how to not let online orders go through and I wouldn’t have to deal with getting a refund or wasting my time driving here.
Seriously one of the worst experiences ever. How do you mistake 5 piece tender with 3 piece wing!?! Really? It’s right on the receipt!
This is a great Popeyes location. I was craving fried chicken so I drove through this Popeyes. I ordered a 3 piece spicy chicken meal with red beans and rice. The food met my expectations and the drive-thru personnel were very friendly. This is a good Popeyes location.
Hit or miss. Good for the most part if you're looking for cheap chicken. Always out of certain items which I get due to covid, but I think it's just the general feel there without the excuse. Love the Cajun fries, and chicken is pretty good and crispy.
The chicken, fries, and biscuits were excellent as expected; however, my beloved red beans and rice tasted funny. Not spoiled or anything, just way different than other Popeye's locations.
I am not supposed to eat fried stuff, certainly not fried chicken.(cholesterol) So when I just can't help it I go to this Popeyes. Very sad to report no more. For years now, this drive-up store at the Shell station has different people behind the counter. Specifically, it is ALWAYS filthy behind the counter. Yesterday, 8 employees, 6 of them, standing around, one fellow was on his phone the whole time I waited for my order. The floor was a complete mess. I wanted say, "can somebody grab a BROOM?" The last 3 trips all the same. Room temperature chicken at the drive-up, so I went inside for hot pieces...and I got an argument from the manager when I brought it back. She said, "I took it from the left side!." I just said, "WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?" She asked what so you want?" I said I just want some fresh chicken. I'm wondering who is in charge of this place? Yesterday, room temp chicken...I'm done and done.
