Such a cute place and a cool patio! We stopped for lunch on a whim and were pretty happy we did! Their pizza was really good and I love that they had healthy options too! We also tried one of their salad and the curry bowl and were happily surprised! The service was really friendly, the place was clean, the food good and the ambiance really cool...what more can you ask for?
I absolutely love this restaurant Poor Richards is the best pizza in town and there balsamic vinaigrette is the best dressing ever. The owner and staff are always so wonderful and the atmosphere is welcoming. Thanks Poor Richards for having such great food you know I will be back?????
I’ve been going to this place since I was born. It had been my favorite pizza joint since it reopened. I’m not sure why, but the pizza tastes different and looks different too (I think they made the slices smaller), and they got my friend’s salad order wrong two times and had some rotten lettuce. I was excited when it re opened but I was super disappointed.
I love poor richards! Their puppets are the cutest and the toys are nostalgic. My boys loved going to poor richards with me whenever we were downtown! Sometimes we’d make special trips!
Staple of downtown Colorado Springs, great food, toy store and bookstore!
The people who work here are amazing! The food is delicious and fresh! The kids say this is the perfect pizza!! We will be back :)
This review is based on our restaurant experience. We did not visit the book/toy store. We ordered pizza and a bowl of chili. My husband didn't think the chili was great. He said it lacked flavor and seemed more like a vegetable soup rather than chili. We felt the pizza was average. There was a lot of crust, nearly 2" worth on a 17" pizza. My kids were also told to stop ringing the doorbell on the playhouse by one of the cooks. My toddler was just excited and wanted to play. I apologize if it annoyed the cook, but maybe you should remove the batteries or learn to tune out the sound so the cook doesn't have to scold another child for having fun. On the plus side, they are dog friendly and allowed us to sit on the patio with our pup.
Please tell the chef or manager to find out who made a non menu item for me. I believe I ordered a pizza but I got some sort of meatless hamburger with the pizza mushrooms in it? All that was basically there was a hamburger bun with cold mushrooms and nothing else. Was this a prank perhaps? Please just notify chefs to not be making weird meals for people that they did not order.
As a life time resident of Colorado Springs going to Poor Richard's is pleasant and comforting. Like returning home for a gathering of your closest friends and family. Poor Richard's has been around for as long as I can remember and I hope it will continue to be here for my children and grandchildren.
Been going to poor Richard’s my whole life. Super bummed about the pizza since they opened after the pandemic. The menu says “giant slice” for 5.25 plus 65 cents for each topping. The slice is nowhere near giant, it is tiny. I also think the recipe was changed. So $7 for a tiny two topping pizza. I used to love their pizza and now its a rip off :(
