First of all this place smelt like old wet dog, but we tried to push through the smell because if the food was good it would be worth it, right? Big mistake.We ordered the spinach artichoke dip and it came as a melted cheese on a plate with chips to dip made from crab puffs shells... a far cry from the bread bowl we were expecting. It was like a last minute replacement for the real thing... oh well maybe the pizza will be better... (we were excited because we brought our niece from Poland and wanted to show her how good Chicago/American pizza is) it took about 30 minutes and when it came out, it literally looked and tasted like a frozen pizza they popped into the oven. Bread tasteless, sauce mediocre, toppings nothing special.And to top it all off it made my wife and niece super sick.Stay away from this place. Buy a frozen grocery store pizza instead.
The place was pretty busy and there was an exceptionally large party in the back. I thought this was going to mean a sub par experience but i couldn't be more wrong. Our waiter checked up on us regularly and made sure we had everything we needed. So 11/10The atmosphere was great and you can sit far from the bar if you care about that sort of thing. Place was clean although it was a bit noisy. Which is to be expected.Food was epic. I haven't had a good calzone in over a year (despite trying) and i really liked this. The Thai Pie was also really great.Overall, definitely recommend this place.
Found the food fine. Most impressive was the large number of beers on tap. Quick friendly service. Did not try the pizza specialty but pasta/meatballs did the job!
Great location! I love the old building with it's two story setup and all of the wood paneling. Unlike it's counterpart on Austin bluffs and academy I feel this location has it's act together entirely and have no complaints from service or food, everything was done right! Thanks for an enjoyable lunch experience.
I hadn't been to Old Chicago in years. We came into this location just after lunch rush so very slow. Anna was our waiter and she was awesome. So much energy and I believe she was the only waitress helping 6 different tables but we never felt forgotten. Great food as well.
Love the atmosphere, love every waitress/waiter we've had. This is our favorite one to go to, the food never disappoints.. and neither do the drinks.
Great pizza, beer, and atmosphere! Service was friendly and prompt and all at a decent price. I loved my experience here and will definitely be returning for more
We are from KCMO, and have to say we had the best service we could get! Kelsey behind the bar was absolutely amazing! Great attitude, friendly, and knowledgable of drinks! We had the best waitress you could ask for! This place was packed and very overwhelming for all staff, but we got lucky and got Lindsay as our waitress! This woman, no matter how stressed she was, always had a smile on her face, perfect attitude, and far exceeded our expectations! If you drop in to eat definitely ask if she’s working and request her table! You won’t be disappointed! Lindsay, remember what I said: the smaller more stressful jobs prepare you for the greater jobs of what’s ahead, and you’ll be great at it!
Wide variety of beer selection, amazing pizza. Ale crust is a must! The staff is attentive and friendly. Great ambience and open late!
Ordered through website, driver came late. Missing parts of order, told me order had been sitting for a long time before he got to it. Told me to take it up with Chicago pizza. Call , talk to manager, he tells us to take it up with who ever food app driver works for. We lost money here, and given the run around. We won't be ordering from here anymore.
