Great food service was a bit slow because they were short servers but food was great. I have been coming here for the last 15 years and I must say you really need to shut down and deep clean paint and replace carpet and the wall paper. There is years of grease buildup and there’s no way the city would allow a pass if they saw how much it has changed. For your customers you should put more pride in the appearance and cleanliness of your establishment.

This place is in serious need of an update, I’m not even sure how this establishment passes code. The steakWas great, the shrimp sucked had zero flavoring and our chef had zero personality. Think the owner should spend less on fancy cars and more on his livelihood and clean that place up. They also had no sushi or noodles. A lack of vegetables also wasn’t my favorite.

Negative stars. When my 3 year old picked up a shard of glass from the floor the staff response: “ok”. The food (everything) has waaaaay too much soy and is way too salty. Chicken was dry. Chef came out after the meal and asked if there was a problem with the food. I gave him feedback and his response was “well you ate all of it”. Asked for a manager and no one ever showed up. Bathrooms were disgusting. Coca-cola was spot on. Melted butter in the bottom of the lobster shell was yum; I could press my lobster into it. Great idea! Everyone at our table was disappointed. We talked about it in the parking lot and it scared a guy away. Go anywhere else if you want a better teppenyaki experience.

We went there for Mother’s Day poor guy cooking had to rush said only three cooks showed up?? But food was good, but we felt pressure to rush.. The waitress brought the clean dishes to our table to set up next customers while we were still eating and asked if we wanted to go boxes and brought check! While we were still eating.. We couldn’t even get into sit until 4 and were out by 5?? We couldn’t even enjoy our meal and talk with family who came in from out of town..we spent almost $300 and 5 dinners and had to go somewhere else to sit and enjoy the day with our kids! And our daughter got berated for being late and wasn’t believed were in waiting for her because she was two minutes behind us with her boyfriend?? And the place was filthy I can’t believe they are not made to clean vents and bath rooms! I do not think we would go there again! Only thing we enjoyed was the cook he was great! And he had a sake with our son and put on a good show even though the poor guy was rushed to do so!

As always an amazing experience. The wait staff and the chef are always super friendly and funny. Food was delicious and everything was handled very professionally, like making special spaces for those of us with food allergies! Very clean and welcoming!

Hibachi was average to good. Nothing extremely special compared to other hibachi/teppanyaki restaurants.Ginger and mustard sauce was served but no yum yum sauce.Fried rice could have used a touch of garlic. The entire place could use a thorough/deep cleaning and an update to the decor/atmosphere.Overall satisfied with our visit.

We went to celebrate a birthday at the recommendation of friends (who joined us). 1 foot in the door and you could smell the grease in the air. Looking around, you could see the grease on the walls, ceilings, light fixtures....and a large amount of dust clinging to the grease. The food was edible, but I wouldn't say it was stellar. I thought the fried rice was very dry and had no flavor. The veggies were ok, and the meat (steak and chicken for me) was actually good. The chef tried to be funny, but really wasn't. His conversation drifted into how much he and his roommates could drink on a typical weekend evening, going clubbing in Colorado Springs, politics, etc. No tricks or flips with the knife or spatula that I recall. The young lady that was in charge of beverages did a great job keeping water, iced tea, and sodas filled. I did notice that the chairs in the bar must have been from the 70s. They were a nice shade of Harvest Gold in the finest vinyl available. Most of the bottoms were ripped and patched up with clear packing tape, but the padding was long gone. This place is very dark inside for good reason. I can only imagine when it was last cleaned (and that's a big assumption that it ever HAS been cleaned). I don't even want to think about what the prep part of the kitchen is like. For the reason of cleanliness, I won't be going back.

The perfect birthday dinner for my twins turning 15! Food was great and ofc there's lots of leftovers. They took this photo and put it on a Japanese birthday card for $3. A great memory.

We didn't go here to celebrate a birthday or to compare it to some nostalgia; the place doesn't smell like a wet ferret; it's what every other hibachi grill restaurant smells like after years of cooking food on an open grill. You're not walking into a sterile room; it's a restaurant with open flames. Eventually, the fabric will soak in the smell. Heck, wear a sweater, and you'll walk out of place smelling like it.With that out of the way, we visited Musashi. You would imagine a place next to a power sub-station would be electric, but you would be wrong. The place is dated, nothing like an institution that has earned its place in a town. The food was OK; there is nothing special about it.Usually, you get an 8oz Filet Mignon medallion, it looked more like a strip, but it was tender. The lobster looked anemic, but it was okay. The scallops looked like they were flattened on their way up, then again, we're 6000 FT above sea level, so you figure that's going to be the case in flyover country. The fried rice was missing scallions, for crying out loud, has COS not experienced any cuisine that might necessitate a little bit of flavor? I imagine enough people complained to the point where they made the conscious decision to cut a stable out of it.Our cook, Justin was super friendly; he did a good job, but there was no onion volcano or some variant of a steaming train for the kids to enjoy, which bummed me out.It begrudgingly gets the job done.

Went there last night to celebrate my birthday... The chef and food was great... But when the chef told them it was my birthday celebration... The waitress ignored it...(mind you they had sung and gave a special dessert to the table next to us for a birthday). Bathroom was dirty and walls were greasy.... Definitely recommend A1 over this place. Not as fancy as we thought. Won't be going back.
