Perfect place for a quick lunch.Great service, food, and ambiance. The pupusas were freshly made and arrived hot for our enjoyment. They were served with a choice of one side dish and mine was sweet plantains. A cole slaw finished the plate. And as a bonus, this kitchen is gluten free and offers vegan options for your enjoyment. Definitely worth many visits.

Fantastic flavors of central America. A great place to sit on the patio, listen to some music and enjoy a monitor. Pupusas are very rich masa cakes filled with your (wide) choice of fillings, including my favorite laroco and cheese. One of Southern Colorados best and most unique restaurants.

A vegan’s dream!! So many wonderful vegan options. I got the Colorado Pupusa with green chili and pinto bean filling, topped with the soyrizo. I will definitely get this again because it was absolutely delicious! Very filling too. The mango pineapple agua fresca was just so lovely. Can’t wait to make this a regular stop.

Excellent food with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. I had the vegan amigos plate with soyrizo and vegan cheese pupusa, bean and red chili jackfruit tostada, and a vegan tamale. We also had a potato empanada for a starter. Everything was well prepared! Our only complaint? The cortido wasn't tangy enough for our tastes, but that is just personal preference. Stop by and sample some wonderful cuisine!

I usually recommend Monses to everyone and brag about them. Tonight was such a horrible experience, I won't be back. The containers they use and stack on top of each other for take out melt the plastic top. We ended up with shards of plastic on top of the pupusas making the top one inedible. There goes $15 (3 pupusas) The yucca fries tasted like McDonalds fries after sitting out for 5 hours. They don't sell meat separately anymore because they want you to get the Colorado. The Colorado comes with sour cream, Pico, and meat and a heafty upcharge of $6.50. (1 pupusa is $5, 2 Colorado no side is $16.50) if you don't want the sour cream or Pico what's the point of paying so much? Absolutely the worst experience.

We ate every day of our vacation in Old Colorado City. The food is amazing, laid back, informal, and super friendly atmosphere, open and outside dining, but best of all, it has a completely gluten free kitchen for those who have celiac. We highly recommend this wonderful place. We only wish it was open for breakfast, too!

I went to Monse's Taste of El Salvador for the first time to grab lunch with my spouse yesterday, and OMG it was so good! We split the 3 pupusa plate (spicy carnitas/cheese, chicken/cheese, and zucchini/chili/cheese) with plantains, beef empanadas and a horchata. Lots of food for a reasonable price. And their drink menu looked delish as well...we will definitely be back during happy hour to try their guava mojito! Service was fast and friendly.

This is an easy self serve pupusa place! A good spot for a quick bite. They also have an small outdoor seating area in the summer. Overall, easy and good. I recommend vengan pupusa green chili + pinto and spicy carnita pupusa

Love every single vegan option I’ve tried here! The margaritas are very good too :) the veggie flautas and vegan smothered yuca fries are my favorite.
