Usually we drive thru for breakfast burritos. Tonight we drove thru for dinner and I was so disappointed. I ordered chicken tacos assuming they would be soft. I received hard shells. One was totally split. Tacos were cold. Rice was cold. We both got double rice instead of rice and beans, which was not appreciated. If the menu says rice and beans, then I am expecting rice AND beans.
The food is usually pretty good and portions are decent. I am not happy with the service we received this last Sunday, however. The gal working decided to pretty much ignore us while we waited at the counter for service. After our first order, we returned to the counter to order more food and she leisurely finished mopping and acted like we weren't even there, zero acknowledgment. The guy in the kitchen seen what she was doing and apologetically said "We'll be right with you". We had 4 hungry kids with us and we had just returned from a long road trip and the service was just bad from the young lady at the front! We have ate there a lot but not sure I want to go back after that nonsense. We will likely return because it is close to home, but if the service doesn't improve we will eventually go somewhere else. Either way, the visits will be less frequent. This location hasn't been open long enough to have poor service
We usually love Monica’s (been going here eversince we moved to Colorado Springs last year. We order the same food from the drive-thru at the same location on Jamboree each time, but this time I have to say I’m quite disappointed. I came all the way home to find no Guacamole in our chips with guacamole! PicAttached shows chips with cheese only. When I called to let them know, the lady on the phone asked my name and what I ordered, looked up my order, saw it was supposed to be chips with guacamoleand cheese. She was very apologetic and offered for me to come back for another chips/guacamole or a refund, so I chose the refund because I didn’t want to drive all the way back. When she asked another person to do the refund I could hear another lady ask if I brought the chips back and then she got on the phone and I said I didn’t want to drive all the way back but she said that’s the only way the manager will do the refund, if you bring the chips back. So I asked to speak to the manager or get an email so I can send the pic I took of the chips/cheese with no guacamole and she said there wasn’t an email but I could call back tomorrow morning when she was in. When I asked what her name was and if it was Melissa (the name I found on the drive-thru order paper) she then raised her voice and very rudely replied “My name is no Melissa!” And so I asked calmly “oh then what is your name?” and she said “Vera”. So I said “okay then I will call tomorrow to speak to your manager and if you could just let her know I would be calling tomorrow”. Then she said “okay and she will ask me if she brought the chips back and I will say No! She didn’t bring the chips back!” I normally don’t write reviews or leave bad reviews, esp for something that costs like $4 but this girl seemed very rude with a bad attitude so I will this time. Last time going to this location!
We got a variety of items because they had such a large selection. The rolled tacos were okay, kind of bland and i wouldn't get again, But my kids would love them! The beef enchiladas were fine but the tamales were really good and had great flavor. The chips with cheese were fine, I wouldn't get them again for me, but my seven year old would love them.
Fantastic food that’s fresh and prepared quickly. They serve breakfast burritos all day, and I highly recommend those. However my favorite dish is the carne asada torta. It has guacamole, cilantro, tomatoes and lettuce, and the bread is so delicious. I haven’t tried other things on their menu because the torta is just too good! Also, their green salsa is great. We always ask for extra!
Great Mexican food, great service enjoy their burritos and horchatas waters. They also have great breakfast burritos and I enjoy their green sauce.
This is used to be my place to go for breakfast burrito. It was cheap and a large portion. The older lady was very friendly. Now, burritos had gone up from $5 something to $7.60. The bad part is it gone smaller in portion. The taste too had gone from good to bad. Customer service is mediocre. You can hear a kitchen employee bad mouthing a customer. I’d gone to many Mexican restaurants and I have those as my other choices from now on.
The food was good and quick service which is nice when taking kids. Nothing fancy and mild enough for kids to eat.However there is no changing table in the bathroom which makes coming here to eat miserable for parents with kiddos in diapers. Please get a changing table as it isn’t really possible to change a child on the cold floor or in the car when it’s only 20-30 something out.
Drove through here on a whim because I was craving tacos and boy what a pleasant surprise! The restaurant looked very clean. The lady that helped me was very friendly. The best part... These tacos are great! ton of filling and the flavor was awesome. Can't wait to go back.
BE CAREFUL!!! The food is DELICIOUS, and you may develop an addiction. The staff are wonderful, but nothing could top the food. Portion sizes are big and prices are reasonable, this place is the bee's knees. If you don't know what to try first, I recommend the Carne asada tacos or literally any burrito, it's all scrumptious.
