Stopped in for a burrito and horchata and left knowing I'd found one of my favorite restaurants in Colorado springs. I'd highly recommend checking it out. They are not offering dine in which was fine as we had to leave anyway. The staff was very friendly and the food/drink was ???.
Absolutely stunned and without any doubt the worst restaurant establishment in Colorado Springs.Let me explain. Today is my daughters 25th birthday. Every year I take any one of my seven children out for dinner of their choice on their birthday. Out of total surprise this daughter chose Monica's Taco Shop.My other daughter, my wife and myself knew better so we chose Chipotle instead and for three entrees and one large beverage the total came to $31.16.Now we head to Monica's Taco Shop to get the birthday girl her desired food, Monica's Super Nacho. Along with two large drinks and get this, a small bean & cheese burrito with a side of rice and beans for our two year old daughter. Cost was $26.87! Say what? Yes, $26.87.If it wasn't my daughters 25th birthday dinner I would have handed back the drinks and told them to cancel my order and cancel my credit card payment. The lady at the window laughed like she knew what a rip-off it was but tried nothing to assist in the matter.Monica, why don't you have kids menu like any other restaurant and why are you charging for salsa now? Your a Mexican restaurant and salsa is free at every other restaurant because it's a staple product in your cuisine. Get it together! This is totally unacceptable. Those with kids will shy away from this establishment for no parent should be charged $11 for a kids item and we as a family will never give your establishment another $. EVER!
I go here for breakfast burritos sometimes, and have been for many years. If you are looking for a quick breakfast, and have not had a breakfast burrito from here give them a try. The staff is always friendly. They have never gotten my order wrong.
Best ground beef burrito I've ever had. They have great tacos too. I always get their hot carrots. But please don't order the hot carrots. That way next time I go there. They'll have some.
Off menu item. New visitor. You have to try Charita meat in breakfast burrito!! They don't always have it but definitely worth the ask!! My new favorite! Gotta visit more often! ?
Monicas used to be super affordable back in the day in their first few years. As time went on they jacked up their prices and gave less food. Family friendly turned into capitalistic greed. My family used to eat there all the time, but now we can barely eat there a couple times a year. They now also limit their salsa to 2 cups which is what I honestly enjoy mire than the burrito. Since Covid they have not jacked up prices but I think that is because they did that pre Covid. I wish the old Monicas was back, because that place was afforable, delicious, and friendly.
Always spot on and the nicest people. Never lets us down. LOOK at the size of this quesadilla.
Got the carnitas tacos to go. They were good! I definitely think it’d be even better if it was hot. Definitely bussin tho! The red sauce is spicy. So dank! Thanks for reading.
So we have been here a while and hadn’t tried this one yet! The whole family had good things to say! Portions were massive and prices comparable to other places! Drive through staff was nice and accommodating! We also did not pay for extra sour cream or salsa.
This is used to be my place to go for breakfast burrito. It was cheap and a large portion. The older lady was very friendly. Now, burritos had gone up from $5 something to $7.60. The bad part is it gone smaller in portion. The taste too had gone from good to bad. Customer service is mediocre. You can hear a kitchen employee bad mouthing a customer. I’d gone to many Mexican restaurants and I have those as my other choices from now on.
