I was driving through with my boyfriend and Mom, just coming down from Pikes Peak Mountain and wanted a bite to eat. It’s our 3rd year coming to Colorado and we’re from Chicago so we’re always excited to try something different. Today we were feeling Mexican and found this quaint little taco place and stopped on by. I ordered some steak tacos and was rather disappointed with how many fatty hard chewy pieces I had in my taco. The sauces were also bland as well. I asked my boyfriend to ask them for the spiciest tamales they had. They were out of chicken so we went with pork. Maybe it’s because I’m Hispanic myself but they were mildly spicy at best and had more maize than meat on the inside. I haven’t been able to find any good Mexican food here so I’m hoping to find a better spot. This place is good if you’re hungry but if you want real authentic food, it just didn’t hit the spot for me.
The owner is a nice guy, helped me with my Spanish before we ate. A few menu items were not available so we settled for a smothered burrito and the quesadillas. I will settle again and again, food is good and the portion sizes are worth the price.Make your way and give it a shot, then go back for something different.
Very disappointed, ordered a carne asada burrito (stuffed with potatoes, rice and beans!) And all I received was a big mess of nothing but rice and a little meat and cheese. It wasn't even that good. Will NOT BE RETURNING HERE. Total scam. Didn't even get the chilli that was supposed to be on the side.
Authentic af. This dude’s salsa is fire and there was so much steak in my tacos.
Excellent! Great, tasty tacos! Authentic, feels, look and tastes healthy, fresh and clean! Strongly recommend!
Was visiting Garden of the Gods and ended up driving past this place. These were the best tacos and tamales I’ve ever had in my life. So much flavor, the tamales were moist and perfect. Wish I could go here every week…but I live in NY. I’ll be dreaming of this place until I make it back here
These were the best tacos we’ve had in a long time! This place is 100% where you want to stop if you’re swinging through Colorado Springs or by Garden of the Gods. The tacos are delicious and authentic, made with fresh ingredients and classic toppings. A little lime, onion and cilantro. Food made fresh for you. Grab a Jarritos or Mexican Coca Cola to refresh you. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you’re getting, and the gentlemen serving the food is incredibly kind.5+ stars and would highly recommend! Hope to make it back some day.
Huge helpings at a great price. I got the carne asada burrito and it lasted me three meals!
We took a break from adventuring around Garden of the Gods for lunch and discovered Macos Tacos. It is very authentic, and it is very good!! Got a couple tacos and quite a few tamales. The tamales were served cold originally but there was no issue asking to heat ‘em up. Definitely recommend this truck for your next taco craving!
Very good food, prices are good. Tried the asada and pork tacos yesterday. Went back today and got a torta and burrito. It was great.
