It was our 34 th anniversary. We are both GF (wheat free) The wait staff (Hannah) was so attentive she even caught something we never would have thought might have wheat in it and went so far as to get the packaging and pointed out something called caking agent which come to find out can be wheat. Who knew!! Any way was absolutely wonderful. Food was great. Donât live in Manitou Springs but will definitely consider it again for a special occasion.

The food was great, the service was excellent. The noise was over the top. When we first got there it was quiet and relaxing. Then there was a table of about 18 very loud people. I couldn't hear my husband from across the table. We love going to Mckenzies but a group like that should be put in a seperate room or off to one side not in the middle of the restaurant
Both my husband & ordered ribeye steak which was not seasoned at all.

It had been a few years until our recent return with friends from Houston. We live out of town as well. A very nice and relaxing experience. Our meals were fine except mine, the Diver Scallops.. There were three and quite small from my experiences with scallop entrees. It worked out though because my wife's entree was quite large for her and delicious and she readily offered to share. Our guests from Houston and my wife we very pleased with theirs and I enjoyed what there was of mine very much. We will be back for another try.
The filet did not disappoint. I really enjoyed the atmosphere as well. Lovely experience.
