The nicest thing I can say is the owner was pleasant and gave us a full refund for our cake. A refund doesn’t fix the event. I couldn’t imagine being handed something like this for a wedding. It wasn’t even edible! Partially frozen and burned.
Umm, would be scared if they were doing my wedding or big event. Does not look professional at all, and this was taken at the bakery, not after a pothole road, high speed chase. From reviews looks like everyone getting tacky cut out lettering. Will not be back for sure.
Unfortunately I cannot recommend this bakery. It used to be really good but recent experience proves otherwise. Cake was not decorated well and had stamped letters versus handwriting. Could have been overcome but the cake was dry, tasted burnt. Ended up getting a cake from a local grocery store which was 10 times better. Buyer beware and recommend not using this bakery.
In the past we have use Little London Cake Shoppe 2 to 4 times a year for special occasions. My mother had been in rehab and was coming home a few days before her birthday. So we wanted to do something really nice for her homing and birthday because she loves the cakes from here.I emailed my request and never heard from anyone. So I called the week before she was coming home placed the order, paid, and scheduled the pick up time.The big day came I went to pick up my mother and my sister went to pick up the cake. But when she got there, there was no cake and no record of our order. The man was so insensitive, no reason why our order was misplace, no apologies, and nothing they could offer as a replacement. Then he told her he could call a baker in and have a cake by 12 or 1. My sister said ok do that. His comment "Well not with that attitude. I'm just going to refund your money".Seriously? This is the way you treat your clients who trusted you. We may not be the people who spend hundreds of dollars on one cake, but have come back year after year. But not anymore.. when my sister shared that with the man, his response .....that's fine we do just fine without you.She called me, after going back and forth with him, I asked for a manager. Guess what, no managers on the weekends and with no interest in rectifying their mistake, he did refund my money.I can only say he is lucky he dealt with my sister and not me. Will see if the manager calls me back like he said they would.Well after our experience and seeing the more recent reviews on line, I can only feel sorry for the people who get wronged by this bakery. And for the previous owners who spent their hard earned time and effort into a buisness that no longer values their quality or customers.
Our son wanted a VERY specific and off the wall cake for his birthday. The staff was more than happy to oblige and had it ready with fairly short notice. The cake was tasty and everyone enjoyed it. Very friendly and take special requests seriously. Thank you!
I have been buying cakes from this bakery since 2005. Their cakes used to be delicious edible works of art. Unfortunately, it's no longer the bakery I've loved all these years. You'd be better off buying a cake at the grocery store and skip the hefty pricetag.
My daughter who enjoys baking was making her birthday cake. She is gluten free. The cake she made was by her standards not good. She is 11, her party was less than 24 hours away. She called 10 bakeries. The staff at Little London treated her with a ton of respect. They got her a cake in quick turn around time. You would never guess the cake was gluten free. They left the cake assembled with a base layer of frosting, provided icing so my daughter could decorate it. When I went with my daughter to pick up the cake the staff was awesome and once again treated my daughter with the utmost respect. Thank you all so much.
Changed ownership recently, not sure who's decorating but they seem pretty decent in the photo reviews. The Issue is inexperienced ownership. I Worked here for a short while before I realized what I got myself into. On the first day decorating, nothing was dated, and Bavarian was expired, tasted sour. one of the workers had open toe sandals on without socks. Kitchen needs an overall scrub down from previous ownership.
I ordered cake and cupcakes long distance, after calling several bakeries I decided on this bakery for a 50th birthday cake /cupcakes for our daughter. We were so happy with our cake and cupcakes they were perfect and look just like the pictures we emailed them and tasted even better. They kept in touch with me reassuring me that they had this. Thank you for such a wonderful And easy experience.
Cake/ cupcakes were Just as the picture we emailed, This was a long distance order for a 50th birthday,they kept in touch with me and reassured me they had this. Everything tasted as good as they looked pun intended.
