I’ve been coming here for 16 years. Tonight was a disappointment. I came in to order a takeout order because their phone wasn’t working. I talked with another customer who was doing the same thing, he had the same problem. My order was done in a timely manner. However, when I got home, the salmon sashimi I paid almost $40 for was NOT what I expected it to be. It was supposed to be 12 pieces (I got 2 orders of 6 each). I have ordered this before. Half of the pieces were the right size, but the other half (6) were belly pieces of scrap, thin, with skin on, throw away pieces! I feel totally ripped off. Aside from that, the salmon didn’t taste very fresh either. I’m hoping this was just an anomaly and this place isn’t going downhill like every other place in town has. I’m probably not going to be doing takeout here for a while.

The service is fine and Nigiri is exceptional. It became my favorite sushi restaurant in town.* They overcharged me (to my credit card later) one time.

Great miso soup, the bento box has excellent tempura. And we tried a grilled chicken salad with ginger soy dressing which was a delight.

We went to this place fully expecting a great meal based on reviews. But, we didn’t even get to eat a meal because we left before. 1, the hibachi dinners do NOT come with fried rice. I’ve NEVER been a hibachi restaurant that you have to pay $3 more for fried rice! Not to mention their prices were at least $8 more than any other hibachi restaurant we have been to here. And when we decided to leave, they told us they didn’t “allow” us to take our $3 KIDS DRINK to go?? Also, their plates were extremely small. Never going here again and I’m glad I didn’t eat here.

This review is for a recent take out order and does not speak to the food or service of a dine-in experience. I placed a pick up order online and chose an available pick up time and it was delivered within a couple of minutes of my requested time. I understand that this may not always happen due to the amount of business the restaurant is experiencing. My order consisted of some sushi items as well as some kitchen items. I tend to customize some of the sushi to suit my daughters and this has always been accommodated. Since this was an online order the restaurant called to make sure they had all the correct information for my order, which has been typical of my orders. I know the reviews are very mixed with this restaurant and I am not speaking against any of the reviews. I am sure that there have been inconsistencies and negatives with dine in and take out orders. This review is strictly for this particular experience, which was quite positive. Also, my past several experiences have been positive. The photo attached is of the sushi portion of the order which I always transfer to my own dish. The presentation has always been with care, even on a take out order, but who wants to eat sushi from a take out container!

Great Japanese restaurant. Usually it's a 10/10 recommend. However the last time I went the rice was extremely undercooked and they took the bowl of food and never returned a new entree or deducted it from the bill...

Food and service is fantastic!

It is my first time going to a sushi restaurant, so I do not have anything to compare it to, but Kura came highly recommended by a receptionist at Children's Hospital surgical center. We didn't go at that time, but kept it in mind. We were not disappointed, the food was very good. We ordered the lunch special #2, which had sashimi and sushi, and both were delicious.

Enjoyed a delicious hibachi dinner for Christmas Eve. Their food is fresh and they have the best yum-yum sauce.

Came in today (weeknight) and waited about 20 minutes to even be acknowledged to get seated.Looks like they were having problems with the register. Which is fine, that happens.... However it's important to acknowledge the existence of the customers waiting to either be seated or those there for pick-up.A lot of us left in frustration.1 star is too generous for the poor customer service.
