The cafe has a welcoming entrance leading up to the ordering counter. The displaying of their bakeries and desserts is very eye-satisfying. The cafe's ambience, architecture layout, decorations, large windows and seating deserve kudos. These are no doubt a major upgrade from your regular breakfast from a fast food restaurant. Then it came the part of people and food factor. The staff appeared busy with either their next tasks or distracted with something. I worked in a service industry before and well aware that the lack of training and high staff turnover is a constant challenge in food industry. But there are quick tricks that all customers would appreciate, smiley and friendly staff that keep eye contact with customers.I ordered a croissant sandwich, a piece of baguette and a regular coffee. I think the croissant was lacking the puff and layering effect, the use of fried egg instead of the fluffy and visual color of scramble egg made the supposedly catchy, playful puff pastry a little depressing. However, it was flavorful and delicious. The coffee was not warm enough possibly after staying sometime in the urn? Maybe it was one of those days.
First time here. Went for breakfast, ordered Pancakes with a side of crispy bacon. Expected pancakes to come with butter and syrup, however received super sweet whipped cream and strawberries with a overly sweet caramel sauce. This should have been asked what I would like, overall pancakes were fluffy but the toppings were non-edible as too sweet. Really waste of $7.19 for this. Added another $2.00 for a side of crispy bacon, but bacon was not crispy at all - did not eat. I feel like I wasted $9.19 for the main meal, would like a refund. Also tried a Cinnamon Roll, asked for it to be warmed, not warmed, and taste was alright. Cost $4.99 pricey but understandable.Overall, restaurant was clean inside. Waited about 10 minutes to receive my order.
I had lunch there sometime in June of 2022 and it was good. I ordered a soup and salad combo. The soup was broccoli and cheese. I thought it was less creamy than Panera's version. But the Thai salad was very fresh and the dressing was outstanding! It was flavorful and gently spicy, in other words - perfect!
Wow, what an amazing experience we had here! We are just tourists passing through and happened to stop by to grab some pastries for breakfast. As we were browsing the menu, Amy (who we later found out is actually the owner and daughter of the founder of Kneaders) enthusiastically helped us by making some excellent recommendations of what food/drinks to order. Amy went above and beyond to help us, and even asked us our names, where we were from and chatted us up. Her warm, cheery, enthusiastic personality completed won us over, and it was true hospitality at its best. When we left she even treated our whole family to some delicious treats and an entire loaf of bread. But even more so, we noticed that while we were there she was training a new employee and walking her step by step through all the things. She was kind, patient, and she was such a good example for the new employee. All the other employees there were also stellar in their professionalism and courtesy towards us. I was blown away by how kind they were and not to mention the food was AMAZING. The smoothies were so so yummy, and everything we ordered tasted great! We will be going back before we leave Colorado Springs!! It's the small things in ways you treat customers than can make all the difference and Amy made our day!!! Thank you Amy!!
First time here and enjoyed our experience. Great food and service. I had the the sourdough pancakes and they were fluffy and tasty. My daughter had the french toast which she said was very good. The portions were generous. Also, the pancakes and french toast were all you can eat until 11:00. I enjoyed the relaxed friendly atmosphere. Will definately be back!
Insane. Sat outside for a curbside pickup for 25 minutes. One person arrived after me and got their food before me! I ordered one sandwich and a drink!!You told me when it would be ready come on! I had a one year old in the car! No apology, nothing. Horrific, will not attempt again.
I seriously just paid 11 dollars for a salad that was almost all lettuce. One piece of chicken, one tiny sliver of onion, one raspberry, no dressing at all. What happened to this place? Surely you see all these complaints about the salads, why is nothing done to fix this?
Management staff is a joke. Hire the cheapest labor and get the cheapest people. They don’t care about the staff that works there. They don’t want to help during any sort of rush. If you want to support this place then good luck. What an absolute joke this company is. They fired an employee for going home sick. Do you as a customer want to be served by someone that is coughing and sneezing but not allowed to leave because managers don’t want to do any actual work? This place will never get my business and I will urge everyone I know to never eat here. Go to Panera and save yourself the hassle.
This is the second time I’ve been to this kneaders where they’ve given me literally the smallest amount of chicken in the salads. For an $11 salad this is the amount of chicken you get, and when you ask them about why it’s so little they say “it’s pre portioned.” Honestly a waste of money.
The food is just so tasty! Fresh. This is NOT a "fast food" restaurant. It will take a moment for you to receive your order and it is worth the wait. Staff is friendly and efficient. I will be going back.
