This USED to be the best breakfast in town. It's NOT anymore. Mediocre food, service and flavor. $50 for two people. Embarrassing how far this place has declined. Local feel is dead and gone.
Wow! What a fantastic find in the heart of Colorado Springs! The food is hearty and filling! I had a breakfast burrito and it was packed with goodness and the "fakie" - vegan breakfast sausage was perfect. Sometimes it can be overcooked. This was perfection rolled into a tortilla. The green chili sauce is so good! Not too hot but loaded with flavor!
There breakfast burrito is bigger than my sons thigh. It is amazing food. This is where you want to eat breakfast for sure. The place has a great vibe as well. The green chili is rather spicy. They have the best French toast I think I have ever tasted.
Used to be one of my favorite places, after the pandemic not so much. The 9.99 breakfast bowl was 24.00 sooked in chili not enough egg or potato, had to purchase more potatos and we’re not grilled correctly, very sad and disappointed won’t return
We've all had salads before but this one... All it was missing was cottage cheese for the win... The tomatoes vinaigrette was well made and a surprise hit. The staff was nice and the place was clean... We will be back on another nice day.
So much local charm in this funky diner! From my understanding this is the second location (at the first location Guy Ferrari visited it in 2015 on triple D). I would imagine the team made sure the same charm and quality of their food carried over to the second location. During our stay in Colorado Springs, we decided to visit the second location, as it was closer to our Airbnb. I went ahead and got “the thing”, full sized (there is a half and quarter sized version) and my wife got the breakfast burrito (half sized). With respect to “the thing” it came with everything you could have hoped for! It was a combo of French toast, hash browns, eggs, bacon, cheese, the diner’s famous green chili sauce and gravy (the last two items you can have one of the two, or both). Let’s just say the full sized dish become two helpings! It was excellent from a taste perspective and the green chili sauce lended a nice kick but it wasn’t over powering. My wife noted the half sized version of the breakfast burrito was the right size for her .
first time here.... good food and fun atmosphere.... nice old diner feel....
The coffee was fresh and delicious. I ordered a side of hash browns, and they dry and actually not very good. Very disappointing as they were fresh and grill top cooked, but dried out, no onions, no flavor. Eggs are eggs, so no issues there.
Great food and excellent service. A kids menu would be nice but we made due with some a la carte options.
I felt a wave of emotion after eating the chili cheese dog and fries. Damn this place is good. A lot of places play good music while having exceptional service in a trendy designed place…but this place NAILS the food. Exceptional, fabulous, great, let me pull out my thesaurus to get across to you how awesome this place is. Stay away and leave it all to me!
