The first time we got food here everything was so good that we thought we finally found the perfect Mexican restaurant.The carne asada fries were got and fresh and very tasty, and the burrito was also really good.The second time one burrito was still very good while the other one was just ok..very wet and the chicken hard and didn't taste good.We will get food here again because the service is fast and the prices are good but I don't think I'll get chicken again here.
This is a nostalgia review. I was stationed at Fort Carson many moons ago from 2003 to 2006. It was during this time that El Super Taco became a staple in my life. In my late to bed, early to rise, highly intoxicated life. I honestly do not think I ever went to El Super Taco while sober. They have the best tortas you will ever eat. I say this because one, I only ever ordered the chicken torta and two because I was very drunk when I ate it. Having said that, intoxicated or not, the food was amazing. There is a reason we kept going back, night after alcohol fueled night spent cruising Academy Blvd and hitting up places like Icons, El Super Taco was always there to bring solace. If I ever make it back to the Springs, I will definitely be going back to El Super Taco.
I enjoyed this place, I got a burrito, with some mild green sauce on top of it, it was actually quite delicious! Their speed with getting the food to me was also impecable! The staff was pretty friendly, and I liked that you could dish the salsa yourself so you got exactly how much you wanted. I felt that the price $14.75 for what I ordered was a bit much, but I guess you do have to take into account inflation, and the fact that prices are going up. I still felt this was a little bit outrageous though. Overall I enjoyed my experience here.
Went through the Drive Thru on 4/16/22, the prices have increased, but food amount has decreased. Tacos were tiny. Rice and beans were smaller portions. And, they gave me all red sauce instead of green. Where has the quality gone. Please fix this and don't be like every other restaurant nowadays.
My go to for Mexican food in the area. This place is always good and has a great selection in entrees. I would definitely recommend and if you dine in they have a pretty good salsa bar as well.
Easily the best Mexican food joint in Colorado Springs! Everything is seasoned well and cooked fresh. It's always worth the drive! ALWAYS!
NOT GOOD (AVOID). Super slow service. The food was not good at all. It kind of sucks thay used to be my favorite breakfast burrito place in town. I probably will not return. Oh and the cost is outrageous I could have had a full on meal at Texas roadhouse for about the same price.
My chicken wasn't fully cooked (like there was still blood), the beans looked like baby barf and tasted near to it. As soon as I went to even pick up one of the tacos , the bottom completely fell out. Would not recommend this location.
I used to love this place the potatoes and eggs are horrible in the breakfast burritos. This used to be authentic Mexican food. What happened El Super Taco?? So disappointed!!! I work at a local large home improvement store that would love to buy burritos for the whole company. Sadly it won't be from you!
The best breakfast burritos I've had. They don't cut corners on the bacon.Always great service and smiling g faces.
