My husband and I stopped her for a cocktail and to check it out. It was quiet, only one other person there. Service was great! She was very knowledgeable and she made us some truly crafted cocktails. They were not only pretty, they were delicious. Only 4 stars just because the atmosphere could be so much better. It was a bit cold and bare.
Excellent products and Becca gave a great guided tasting!
If you are looking for 1 distillery to visit in the Colorado Springs Area, you have to visit Distillery 291. My wife got a perfectly mixed cocktail, while I did the flight of all their offerings.I have never had such a thorough, knowledgeable and fact filled tour of spirits.I have a renewed appreciation for craft distillers, and being from Detroit, knowing that we would not be back for a while, we bought several bottles to bring back for us, and to give as gifts. The next time we are back in Colorado, we will be coming back to Distillery 291 and looking for their spirits!
I came here for my birthday and brought all my friends for a scheduled tasting. It was easy to set up and the drinks were awesome. Our bartender was knowledgeable and straigh up fun to hangout with. I'm glad I'm taking a bottle home.
So awesome. Do the tasting. Best whisky ever. Lee is the best! Uber!!!
Had a really great time here! Good tour with Haley. Jeff is an awesome bartender! 100% recommend!
Really mediocre experience. Two months ago came off the bourbon trail, and when I went into this distillery was anything but a decent experience.Bartender was extremely rude, only wants to sell bottles and flights. Won’t even engage in simple discussion unless you buy a tasting. Seriously, wouldn’t even answer a question, so my party of eight left almost immediately when we found out the person serving didn’t know anything about the product and simply memorized a speech.
I knew the whiskey was amazing before visiting but I was so pleased by the hospitality. Akin to walking into the parlor of a dear friend. Lee taught me a few things about Whisky and I can’t wait to go back. Truly a gem of Colorado Springs and place worth showing off.
We came in and were told that we could not enter with my service dog. The bartender made us wait until she asked permission. This is the 21st century and many things have changed in regards to acceptance and training surrounding service animals. My recommendation would be to train all employees regarding the importance of this law, especially with troops having returned recently.Had a tasting of the 291 single barrel and it was very tasty.
My wife and I booked a tasting and really enjoyed it. Our guide/bartender was excellent. You could tell he really enjoyed his job and the history behind the distillery. The whiskey was great! We got to sample 7 different whiskeys and a liqueur. We were able to try different mixed drinks as well if we wanted. It was a private tasting that lasted about an hour. They have some great whiskey and it's worth the stop if you are in Colorado Springs.
