A hidden gem in downtown Colo Springs with superb food, friendly people, and my fave mixed drinks in town. Great to sit at the bar, enjoy a donburi bowl and chat with friends.
Very cool interior and friendly staff. Drinks were fabulous! Not much choice for food but...it is delicious and you aren't overwhelmed with tons of choices. Definitely will go back.
Hands down best Japanese bar/ cyberpunk vibe bar in Colorado. The takoyaki is super crunchy on the outside and super chewy on the inside! The drinks are amazing, the vibe is just perfect. Will be coming here more often .
My husband and I were bar hopping after dinner on our anniversary and ended up stopping by. Our drinks were delicious, the atmosphere was very a good vibe, and we got a little shrimp/rice small plate that was very tasty! Highly recommend.
just a GREAT place for food and drinks!!!
Great bar with amazing drinks and food! I absolutely loved the atmosphere. Their lychee buck (not pictured) is SO GOOD and refreshing. My boyfriend and I are obsessed with their takoyaki. We will be back!
This place is amazing! Best Takoyaki I've ever tasted, awesome cocktails (including a Lychee and a Yuzu cocktail), perfect atmosphere for a scifi author. My friend and I found this place accidentally after a writers' conference, and we will be making the trip back whenever we're in town. Wonderful experience!
Great place, cool vibe, open til MIDNIGHT for food and even later for drinks! The staff and management were exceedingly friendly and attentive! The pros... The deep fried gyoza and sauce were OUTSTANDING...and I generally detest deep fried gyoza! (It should be against the law--no self-respecting place in Japan would deep fry it'and I've lived/ travelled all over Japan. (For the best Gyoza, done authentically, in the area (and the best ramen) go to Tokio, downtown Denver. ) The bowls were good, but the salmon and tuna are sushi (not cooked) for those who DONT like that. The drinks were fun and very good, as others have noted.Cons...I took off one star because they don't really have anything that a "normal" Japanese place would.... no yakatori, yakiniku, pork/chicken tankatsu, or ramen, or even sushi, etc. Also, the fish in the bowls was fine and tasty but sushi-ish and yet they don't do "normal" sushi! And very little is available that is cooked...except the gyoza, as noted above and apparently, their octopus balls and tacos, which others have said are very good. All in all, I would go back! And they're the only game in town for late night food and drinks downtown C Springs...beggars can't be choosers!
I love this place! They have a cool, higher energy vibe with colorful lights and loud music. The food is also fantastic, creative spins on Japanese favorites and equally creative cocktails.
Found this gem while on a Cocktail tour in Colorado Springs... the presentation of food and drinks was beautiful! The owner shared his story and inspiration for the Chiba Bar- really cool place, but it I can only give it 4/5 bc they had no vegetarian options. My friends loved the dishes they ordered, I stuck to the drinks here.
