I wanted to love this place. We are from Northern Colorado and stopped in today with high expectations. I love the organic and grass fed options and willing to pay more for them. We tried drinks, multiple apps, entrees and dessert. Loved the chicken tender app even though it was very small. But this restaurant does not know what Buffalo sauce or nashville hot sauce is supposed to be. The Buffalo sauce tasted like a bland ketchup bbq sauce and the nashville hot sauce was this strange raspberry jam with no spice. I recommend the chef go to nashville and learn what nashville hot sauce is because this had zero characteristics or consistency of what it is supposed to be. Same for your Buffalo sauce. Strawberry cooler drink was not great. Other food was good. Service wasn’t bad but she put in our order wrong. We ordered tacos without avocados and fish without slaw and both came out not as requested. There was a paper wrapper in our cookie skillet baked into it. Love the view and the local and organic options but we wish it would of been better.

Decided to treat our preschool staff of 9 with a fun lunch at the View House. It took over 20 minutes to get a drink order in(mostly water and three alcohol drinks). Food order was put in. Nothing fancy. Mostly from 1/2 shares menu. A friend showed up 20 minutes after we put in our order. His food arrived within 10 minutes including his alcoholic beverages. The waitress didn’t check on us or let us know that food was coming. When flagged down she said the kitchen was hit hard with big parties. Meanwhile food was delivered to other tables. We chatted with one manager. Showed little emotion and was sorry. After an hour of waiting, half the table was finally served. I couldn’t find our waitress. It wasn’t until I called the restaurant directly from our seats to get another manager to come by. At least he was apologizing. Said they were understaffed. Had that been communicated and had we been offered some snacks to tie us over, then we would have been a lot more understanding. Half our group had to leave to pick up kids from school. When the waitress came back she said the other half of our order was loss and had to resubmit. Ridiculous. Guess what happened next. We got two of every order, one meal sent back because it was cold, and a meal was STILL missing and 5 people had to leave. Disappointed and will NOT return. I Have had bad experiences in restaurants before. Never have I experienced poor customer service. I will return to places that exemplify empathy, a great service. Do better. Might want to rethink the training process

The view is spectacular…looking at the mountains. The food was ok. Don’t order the mahi tacos. There was barely any fish in them. Mostly cabbage. It was flavorful, but would have liked to see more fish.

Came here tonight after not going out in forever and it was the best service I have ever experienced. Our server Mckenzie Schultz made the night amazing. Kudos to her boss John for doing a great job with his staff

I'd first like to give our waitress Joslyn 5 stars for her excellent service. The rest however was less than stellar. We ordered nachos for an appetizer. They arrived after our meal. The server wasn't personable at all. I ordered a Santa fe omelet it was burned inside and the home style potatoes lacked potatoes. It was covered with so much other stuff you couldn't taste them. All in all the best part of my visit was the mimosas, my guest, and the view.

Fish and chips left me hungry and wanting more after I devoured them due to the small portion size. The fish had a crispy and light breading and coleslaw was unlike any I have had. The dressing used on coleslaw was not tangy like typical slaw. It was refreshing and mild. The dress code ranges from jeans and t-shirt to business casual. I had the impression it was upscale but it is more of a casual hangout with good food.

I always have a blast when I come here. It's always very crowded so be mindful of the time you visit. It's a really nice spot to relax and chat. The food is decent.

Super yummy! The pizza was seriously so good! Perfect size for one person, great drinks, service was friendly and helpful. Lively atmosphere and cool architecture of the whole restaurant! ??

Great service, awesome food

I haven't seen so many people in a restaurant since covid as I did at View House. It was standing room-only on both floors on a Tuesday night of all nights. Staff were polite, but the waiter wasn't terribly attentive and service was a little slow (it was busy). My salmon main course was superb. She said her tacos were short on the shrimp and only so-so. The wine list is on the cheap supermarket end of the spectrum. Barefoot is the house wine. That tells you everything you need to know. They want $30 for a bottle of Barefoot. Ha. The $9 unoaked chardonnay from Hess was okay but I had no idea if I actually got what I ordered since it was poured at the bar and not in front of me. No offer of dessert. The waiter never came back after our meals. We had to flag down someone else to pay the bill. Floors were dirty as were tables and chairs. Not properly cleaned between customers. All things considered, the view is great, the food average to better than average, but the wine and service leaves a lot to be desired for. In all honesty, we should have just went to Outback.
