Cool thing about this place is it was an old church that was converted into a restaurant. Some of the better Italian style food I have had in a long time. I ordered the Veal Saltimbocca. This is a very rich dish. The Veal was cooked to perfection and the sauce was rich and creamy. There bread was light fluffy. Although the Veal was amazing I think the star of the meal was the Balsamic reduction and oil dipping sauce. If you do get a chance to dine here make full use of that dipping sauce and plan to leave full.
This was a wonderful place to celebrate Father's Day! The food was impeccable and the service incredible! The venue is beautiful with stained glass windows and dark wood but done in a modern, comfortable way. Indoor and outdoor seating is available as well as seating at the bar, which is modern and comfortable. We sat at a charming, cozy, two-person table right under a stained glass window. Our server, Gavin, started us with a taste of their homemade red wine which is sweet and dessert-like. We ordered warm, cheesey garlic bread, crusty with sesame seeds. Dippable in a fresh, bright tomato sauce. I enjoyed the gnocchi with Alfredo sauce, which had an unusual flavor, maybe nutmeg, bursting through. They were very soft and stuck to the roof of the mouth, but delicious comfort food. My husband enjoyed his chicken parmesan tremendously. Both meals made excellent leftovers later as serving sizes were quite generous. Honestly, the highlight of the meal was the creamy, fantastic cheesecake! Obviously homemade with love! Swooning! Best ever! Gavin was so fun and gracious and we had an awesome time!
Had the most incredible time here while stranded in Castle Rock with mechanical vehicle issues. I myself am Italian and incredibly suspect of Italian food outside of well known Italian communities (Philly, NY, St Louis)… Scileppi’s did NOT disappoint! We had meatballs (run don’t walk for these), burrata caprese, and my incredible server Gavin surprised me with their rigatoni (add grilled chicken). I’m still dreaming about that rigatoni. Gavin was FUN, knowledgeable, and incredibly hospitable. After mentioning I could use a hug in the form of food, Gavin knew exactly what to recommend (or in my case surprise me with!). The ambiance of this place is also pretty great. Would highly recommend if in Castle Rock! Also, don’t sit in their wedge salad. 10/10
Pro's: 1. Fast service from ordering online, our fresh pie and (mildly) hot wings finished when quoted. 2. The hot wings were freshly made with a surprisingly 😋 perfect spice if you have any acid reflex (you should be able to handle it just fine). 3. Fast and friendly service up until ppu when I already had paid online...then see below. 4. Absolutely delightful pizza pie, there's was no grease. 5 stars for taste. I wish they offered an extra large and more chewy center pie. It was 😋 delicious! Con's: 1. It would have been 5 stars if the cashier hadn't looked at me with judgment on what I tipped. It really down graded my experience since I was a first time customer here. Idk if I should bother returning if it's just greed looking at the numbers. It was disrespectful.
My wife and I dined here for our wedding anniversary. We arrived just before our reservation time and were seated immediately. The room is very nice with great character. The bread that was served as we ordered was average, but the oil dipping sauce was a very sweet balsamic and not to my taste. The server did not return to ask for our response. If she had, I would have tactfully responded that I didn't care for the oil, and could she bring another variety. My wife ordered salmon on a bed of rice with broccoli with a glass of water and reported it good. I ordered chicken marsala with a glass of chardonnay. When the order arrived I received veal marsala. The server came back and questioned which I had ordered, I replied chicken, but she departed and said nothing more. Rather than wait, I said nothing and accepted the veal marsala. Sadly, it was without flavor, and the veal was very underwhelming. The dish needed much more spice, and was sorely lacking in salt. After delivering our plates, we did not see the server again until she brought the check. Our water glasses need refilling, but we did not receive attention. Overall, a disappointing experience, and the issues I mention do not suggest just a bad night, but what is to be usually expected.
I've been meaning to write this review for a long time. I've been to Scileppi's about 7 times now. It just might be my favorite Italian restaurant of all time. The atmosphere is perfect. It's a great place to take a date or visitors because it's really unique and memorable. Moving on to the food. Scileppi's food is almost too good. They have the classic italian dishes you'd expect, as well as their own unique dishes. Their red sauce is great, their lemon white wine butter sauce is amazing, you really won't go wrong. The wines and cocktails are fantastic too. It's the type of place that requires multiple revisits, and you'll never be disappointed that you went back. Plus, the staff is very friendly and helpful.
A must place to try! The customer service was excellent, from hosts, waitress Brooke, Manager Matt and the Most Importar the Kitchen Staff. The Food was DELICIOUS! I order the Penne Alla Vodka (GF)✔️flavorful. For Dessert the White Chocolate Crème Brûlée (GF) delish! ?? check this place out, you will not regret it.
The waitress was amazing. I can't remember her name. Even though she was knew she seemed like a season vet. courtesy...knowledgeable.. attentive. the vibe of the place was busy but still comfortable. the food was great. the orange Creamsicle cake was beyond words.. will come back
First called them to make reservations and they told me they didn’t make them. We drove 1 and 1/2 hours to eat there and when we got there the hostess told us oh you have to have reservations but let’s see if I can fit you into our other place in the back (pizza take out place) sat us there then took forever to get waited on and the food was okay no refills on our drinks and wanted to order dessert the gal was very rude and tossed us the dessert menu. Not impressed at all of the new owners
A unique atmosphere for a meal in downtown Castle Rock. The food was excellent and the service was quick. We split a variety of dishes to try a few different items. Our favorite was the app was the truffle fries and our favorite main was the lobster ravioli.
