I live in Castle Rock, and always try to support local. The new management/ownership has a 'Big Box' mentality, which does not align with Castle Rock. If you want a true Ma-Pa local BBQ place, visit Old West BBQ at the South end of town... and you will not be disappointed.
The food was very good and the free ice cream made me happy. The employees seemed like it hurt them to be polite. Be clear, that said the polite words but it appeared to be because they had to do it.
What a sad disappointing and expensive restaurant. My spouse and I went there for dinner and ended up spending $38 on some pretty terrible food. Could have gotten a better meal for half the price at McDonald’s. Place looked like they mopped it with an oily mop. Food quality wasn’t any good - don’t get the Mac and cheese it looked like something you’d get from your crummy school cafeteria with government cheese. Staff was somewhat friendly but made us feel a bit like we were intruding on their hangout session. Bbq sauces were saran wrapped so couldn’t self serve. Ice cream machine needed a good cleaning. Overall very dingy and very much a pit. Can honestly say we won’t be back.
My family has been a loyal customer for many years going back to when we lived in Reno, NV. Tonite we spent over $60 for ribs, wings and a sandwich. Sorry to say it was extremely disappointing. The ribs were dry as sand. The wings were tiny and hard as a rock. The sandwich was bland. The only thing that was edible was the creamed spinach. Sorry, we will not be back.
We ordered food at 10am for 1 15pm... when I went in to pick up my order the guy behind the counter said that it was the most inconvenient time? We ordered at 10am! Then he grabbed cold biscuits and gave them to us! Then he pulled the brisket out of the oven and started erratically chopping it like I had done something wrong...I get it that we got a family order but hmmmmm! WORST customer service EVER
Been ordering here for 2 1/2 years, food when accurate was always tasty and fresh. Daily specials are a bargain. But order accuracy was literally 50/50! Both in person to go, or door dash/grub hub! Also, long delays with delivery because company policy would not allow staff to make order until driver showed up. This policy is crummy! Esp when Dickies staff still made the order wrong! We stopped eating here-
Poor Quality Brisket, I got a side of brisket and the sandwich. The pictures on the web look great, nice cuts of meat, I got 1 tiny slice on my sandwich and a huge slab of fat; no meat, just Fat. The side was almost as bad, I re-cooked that and gave it to my dog, The pulled pork was good, But the rest was a real waste of $
I haven’t had customer service this good in a VERY long time. I placed a pick up order for 530pm on a Friday night. I got there a few minutes early and was immediately handed a cup, by a wonderful woman at the register, for a drink on the house while I waited. The kitchen was BUSY, and made it a point to apologize for the delay. My food still came out right on time, and the order was perfect. The boys working the line are definitely something special! So respectful and I could tell they were working hard. Thank you all for the amazing service!
The workers are nice but the food is not. The ribs are dry and hard and the bread is chewy. The meal pictured here is $19.20.
I loved the Dickey’s where I used to live. I really wanted to like this one too, but I just can’t anymore. I’ve tried this one for takeout a few times and there’s been problems with the order multiple times. I know stuff happens sometimes, and they did get the order right sometimes, so I still order from them sometimes. However, I think I’m done. This time, they got the meal mostly correct but I ordered a cornbread muffin in lieu of a roll and another cornbread muffin. So I should have had 2 muffins. Instead, I literally received what appears to be chunks of burnt cornbread crust scraped off the bottom of a pan and shoved in the container. I ordered at 6pm and they’re open until 9pm, so it’s not like I was ordering at an unreasonable time right before closing. And I know it’s just cornbread, but I love cornbread and not a lot of places seem to offer it anymore. So the disappointment tonight was high. Hopefully everyone else has a better experience than I’ve been having. I can’t count on my order being correct at this location, so I won’t be doing it again.Updated about 5 minutes later: AND I just found a freaking hair in the Mac n cheese. Awesome. :(Updated again several months later. I stupidly decided to give it another try because my visiting friend wanted BBQ tonight. It still sucks. I don’t know if this is a Dickey’s issue or a DoorDash ordering system issue but my order was wrong again. I ordered a giant potato and selected my toppings: cheese, extra cheese, bacon, extra bacon, and butter. The extra cheese and bacon cost an extra $1. I purposely didn’t select sour cream because I hate it. I received a potato with NO bacon, very little cheese, an insanely large amount of chives and a bunch of sour cream. If I’m paying $10 for a freaking potato, it should be correct! I don’t understand why it is SO DIFFICULT for this location to get their orders correct!! And yeah, no one ever answers when you try to call. Maybe the orders are correct if you dine in, but if you get a to go order it’s a 95% chance of your order being completely messed up.
