Great place for after work beers!I was in Denver for work last week and my coworker and I had a pretty rough day on Monday. On the drive home we both were saying, I need a beer, let’s find a place. Her only requirement is that they have Bud Light in bottles. Not cans, not on tap but in bottles.Well, the Sand Box fit the bill and when we pulled up I was all, Hell yes! I could tell right away this was a locals only kinda spot and it did not disappoint.Shout out to the bartender, Angel??, for giving me a disappointed look when she came to see if we needed another round and my female coworker had finished her beer while mine was still half-full! Seriously made my night!!Next time I’m local I will be back for some more Bud Light, more chicharrones, and more judgement from the Bartender!! ??
Had a great time, bartender Mike was awesome. More liberal customers, so heads up rhinos. (Heads up goes both ways depending on the facts)
Surprisingly good bar food and the staff were pleasant to interact with. I will be frequenting this place when I'm in town.
Went to play pool. Had a pretty good night. Didn't order anything though.
The owner Patty and the girls who work here are absolutely so sweet.
Geat little bar. Always a relaxed atmosphere.
Good cheeseburger, great prices and the bartender was awesome!
Great place to relax and play some pool. Not to mention good bar-style food. I always get the green chili!
After seeing this publicity I was concerned but also wanted to see for myself. Not only did I get amazing food and service, I think I found my new go to place. Thank you to the owner for the 10% discount for mentioning this review. I will be back and happily pay full price.
A 20 year old kid runs this place for "mommy." Her friends get hired and pThe place is filthy. Before ordering a meal here, check the kitchen and all the nastiness there. Have them show you around their kitchen and then eat. They claim the health department approves yet the kitchen is gross and flies inundate all the open packaging they leave all day long. They don't take kindly to a mention of the catastrophic conditions. Before eating here observe the ingredients especially the vegetables as they wait til the last possible time to throw away wilted, yellowed lettuce. When packages can't be open because there are so many layers of grease on them, it is a problem. This town has flies on top of flies and these people continue to kill the flies on top of their own tables. Mention anything and they'll turn on you like village people. Makes one wonder if they know the health department person enough to pass inspection just like that. The 711 off 168th less than 1/4 Mile has clean food and great beer and cigarettes, everything to not need to visit The Sandbox's greasy joint.
