Honestly really bad. We paid $30 for two smoothies. The first one was horribly bitter and the second one had full nuts in it or something incredibly grainy. The first option was the newtella and the second was the PBJ. How do you mess up such simple flavor profiles? I took one drink and couldn't finish it. The tastes were both so bad. I'm a firm believer that healthy and full organic ingredients can still be delicious. But I couldn't even drink my smoothie. I'm so sad I wasted $30 instead of making a smoothie at home I wish I could have a refund.
Overall disappointed with my first time. I had hoped for more substantial meal options. I got the “Primal” bowl. Avocado, cabbage, quinoa, and fried eggs. Hard to go wrong in terms of nutrition, and taste was overall good because the ingredients were high quality. But on underneath it was just a bowl of raw cabbage thrown together with a little too much salt. The cabbage leaves weren’t even cut small enough and I had to bite them apart. On a day when I needed more energy and a lasting meal, this didn’t help.Additionally, the staff weren’t attentive and definitely burned something in the kitchen while chatting amongst themselves. I’d give it another chance, but rather just make my own meal at home.
The food here is good and I appreciate the vegan options, especially the breakfast Sammy. However the price to value is not good, it was almost $20 for a a matcha and small sandwich. The employees make good food but are not friendly.
The smoothie bowls and smoothies are the best in Boulder. SO good and such good toppings. But OMG I’ve never paid so much for a smoothie in my life.
Grabbed 2 lattes and it was $16. Very overpriced. They also didn’t have prices (they were just taped). And no receipt (didn’t ask for it either). So, no transparencyCool interior though
I hate to give this place 2 stars because I really appreciate healthy options like this. My experience here was just terrible though. They were out of the first two things I tried to order (no pesto and then somehow no BREAD?). I finally settled on a hot bowl with cabbage, egg, and avocado. The avocado was absolutely disgusting. It was somehow totally brown and inedibly under-ripe. No one likes hard avocados, come on. I had to put the avocado in the trash ? I’m pretty sure the cabbage was supposed to be cooked but it was pretty much raw. I’ll probably give them another shot and hopefully be able to add a few stars. I might ask to see the avocado first next time lol.
It's a pretty cute place. Smoothie bowls are pretty great. Maybe a little over priced but great. Do not recommend drinking out of the free provided water. Also an employee that looked urban id say so was on her phone constantly and wasn't really attending customers right away when arrival! Overall such a cute place!
Matcha was great and love that this place is Organic, but the bowls seem way overpriced for what you get (we had a large order and several were not even filled up all the way). Not to mention the fruit toppings were hard/frozen with no taste. The girl helping us was maybe having a bad day too ? not the most friendly service considering we spent almost $90 on our order. Definitely not stoked on our visit overall.
Paid $21 for an açaí bowl and a black coffee, took forever and the bowl was mediocre at best. The two young people working were very friendly and professional, but for a Saturday morning on pearl street. I expected something better. Unfortunately I would not recommend this spot.
The food is good, but extremely overpriced for what you get. Also, the reason why so many customers have issues with not getting their food on time is because every store is incredibly understaffed and typically one or two employees (typically one if you go in after 3pm) are responsible for dealing with online pick-up orders, in-person orders, and Uber eats orders coming in. The employees are required to cook the hot meals which takes a significant amount of time while also balancing other orders coming in. Most of the time I go in, their stores are extremely understaffed and the employees working there always seem very stressed. I was also uncomfortable to see that Whole Sol proudly advertises that they are open for 365 days a year. In the current climate where workers are demanding more time off, better pay, and more flexible working hours this company is proudly announcing that they don’t care. They would rather make money than give their employees time off on holidays. We don’t need smoothies on Christmas, New Years, Thanksgiving, etc. The owner, Phil, can enjoy the holidays with his family, however he requires his employees to work on those days? Absolutely ridiculous and exploitative. While other businesses in Boulder are progressively moving forward in regards to caring for their workers, Whole Sol remains antiquated.
