I don’t like leaving bad reviews, I’m mainly leaving this here because I feel like the cooks/whoever is hiring the cooks needs to see it….my friend and I had burgers here and they were literally only seasoned with chunks of salt…and I mean like clearly visible, tons of chunks of salt in the patties that made the burgers very hard to get through. The fries were also drowned in salt chunks with just some black pepper on them as well. This should be addressed so someone else does not have this experience. I’m sure the other food here is probably great.
We LOVE Under the Sun! Their pizza is delicious, the staff is so nice and fun, and their happy hour deals can’t be beat. This visit, we got a margarita pizza (delicious), $5 margs (taste fine, good pour), and truffle fries (a huge serving). We’ve also gotten beer and some of their specialty pizzas at previous visits. A fun, cozy local spot that I highly recommend.
I love Under The Sun! Such a great neighborhood restaurant. Greeted by a smiling host and seated right away. Our wait person was friendly and efficient.I ordered a special pizza. Grilled pineapple and pork and it was delicious. Hubby ordered a special New York strip burger that was so delicious (I had a bite) and he ate the whole thing!I love the creativity of the kitchen! Big kudos. It's not the first time I have loved a special here.Great beers here also!Had a very positive experience!
This place is a hidden gem! For starters, the beers are incredible. We had a porter and a stout (in July) and they were outstanding. We then had the calamari, which was some of the most tender we've had in years. And it came with 3 sauces! This was followed by the street corn, which again exceeded all expectations. We had the herb and smoked mozzarella pizza, which in any normal meal would have been the highlight because it was very good. The meal ended with the wood fired cookie with ice cream, which absolutely rocked our world! Can you truly fall in love with a dessert? The answer is YES!!
Went for happy hour to try the $5 margarita pizza and have to give 5 stars for effort - without me asking they remade my pizza due to it being burnt, however, my 2nd pizza looked and tasted nothing like the first. Neither was good or bad, but the $5 HH truffle fries were delicious. Worth the try!Edit: re-heated the 2nd pizza in the oven and it was 11/10 - be back soon!
A lot of the same food options as the above restaurant if you’ve been to that one. Same exact beer options similar entrées. This place sells pizza in addition though and it looked pretty good, I didn’t get it though. The service seems to be better for under the sun than it is upstairs and this place seems more kid/family friendly version than the upstairs. I got the boneless wings and they were pretty darn good and tender. The General Tso’s was not very spicy though just seem like teriyaki sauce
Went here twice during our stay in Boulder. Had to wait for a table, but worth it as the food was good and the selection of beers excellent.
Stoped here for lunch after a morning hike on a Saturday. Everything we ordered was amazing! Highly recommend getting the shareable brussel sprouts and donuts! The vegan pizza was delicious ?
Met adult son yesterday at1 PM. Service was fine............restaurant not as crowded as Southern Sun upstairs. THAT was a good thing. As we hadn't been there in years......son noted that the brunch menu was MUCH abbreviated. I ordered the quiche, but it was all gone...............so i shared a meat lover's pizza w/hubby. it was pretty good. Son ordered the junkburger MEDIUM..........it came out rare. Sigh. Hubby and i took it home for lunch today. Son also ordered the donuts......underwhelming. Son had a mimosa,diet pepsi and coffee.....hubby had a diet pepsi....i had water. Could not believe that the charge for the pepsi was $5.00 each!!! Bill incl 15% tip was $65.18. Best part.............being with son.
