We had breakfast here a few Saturdays ago and had a nice time! I was surprised that there was no line to get in; we were seated immediately. Our server was very nice, and the menu had a good variety of options. I ended up having the sunrise sandwich, which was probably one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve had in a while. The other food ordered by the rest of the party - French toast and some sides - was also good! Overall, and pleasant and tasty experience!

Honestly really disappointed in the service. Walnut cafe always has a reputation with the locals and when I finally tried it, it was pretty lackluster and just a standard brunch place. We were not served for the first 20 minutes when we sat down. When we asked to order the sever seemed really confused and took another 10 minutes to find our actual server? The food was quick but when we asked for drink refills or sides we were forgotten. They delivered our bar drinks to a different table and gave our check to a different party who had paid it already. The food was pretty standard but nothing that spectacular.Seemed extremely disorganized and everyone working there was dazed and confused.I’ll stick to my standard Dots Cafe

Very good. South Boulder is my favorite part of the city and the restaurant fits in well. No wait even though it was busy. Good quality, good service. The blueberry cornbread was a stand out!

This is a great breakfast/brunch joint. It is casual and relaxing. The coffee is good, the food is delicious, and the people who work there are friendly AND efficient. Wonderful place to relax and enjoy a good, casual meal.

Just stopped in to get food to go and coffee. I didn’t catch her name, but the woman behind the counter who helped me was very attentive and sweet. I’ve had great service every time I come here and the food is always delicious. Five million stars, ten out of ten would recommend to literally anyone.

Not bad for a second location. I got a half sandwich and a good spinach soup. Friendly staff. Decent price for lunch. My only issue was not having a pie selection like the other Walnut Cafe. I will be back.

My family went to South Side Walnut Cafe after the Bolder Boulder in which my daughter ran in. Upon arrival it was busy and there was a wait time, 20 minutes. No problem there. It was exactly 20 minutes until seated. It was after that the bad experience happened. We were given menus, glasses of water arrived right away. Then we sat. No one came to take any drink orders. We watched a table behind us with more people in their party, get drink orders, then food orders. We were still waiting for someone, anyone to take our order. After twenty minutes of watching other tables get served, I went up to the counter and asked when we were going to get served. The person I spoke with, looked at me and proceeded to tell me how busy they were. I told her that we had seen people seated after we were getting drink orders and food orders. She reluctantly said she would help us. It was then another ten minutes before she came and took drink orders only and said our server would be over shortly to take food orders. Again another fifteen minutes went by and no drinks. My daughter then went back to the counter and asked where our drinks were. A server named Jess said she would come take our food order. She took the order and half of the drinks arrived. Another twenty minutes went by and my husband flagged down the hostess and asked who our server was and where our food was. Another ten minutes or so went by and the food was served by two different people. One order was not served so another five minutes went by before it was served. Meanwhile we watched people come, get served and leave and we were still sitting there. When the food arrived it was lukewarm at best. Yet another server was quick to deliver the check, which for $101.51 plus tip was not worth it. On the check yet again another person's name appeared which does not deserve the tip we left. Jess should receive the tip as she was the only person that was nice enough to help us at least take our order. We felt like we were invisible! Servers walked by our table and just looked at us. I am not one to post reviews on restaurants but this was by far the worst dining experience I have ever had. P.S. I read other reviews and it seems the owners' only acknowledge the good reviews. I rated it one star and feel that was generous!

I can't recommend enough. Their espresso/coffees are better than most coffee shops. I had a latte, a scramble, fresh fruit and some other sides. The fresh fruit was actually fresh.

It had been over a month and we were itching to lunch somewhere. Son's suggestion came just at the right time. We ate inside...............many were outside..............it was 1:15 PM on 5/15. I ordered the quiche of the day.....it was OK.....could have used some salsa.....which i used today at home with leftovers. Had the potato side..YUM.....and the blueberry cornbread. cant wait to have that later with iced coffee. Hubby ad thr Eggs marcos w/blueberry cornbread and fresh fruit and coffee. he was a happy camper. Son had juice, coffee, ranch eggs , a sausage patty and as always took 1/2 home for dinner. One large pancake was a table share. Hubby and son enjoy the pancake......for me.....I don't miss it. Service was attentive....the food is solid.....the prices OK. A nice respite for relaxation and then a walk around Viele Lake. Bill was $80 with tip! Cheerio.

My friend and I had a great experience here! The service was great and everyone was so patient with us which was awesome because I had a lot of trouble deciding what I wanted to eat. The food was all pretty good but nothing stellar so that’s why only 4 stars. I was pretty disappointed with the biscuit because it wasn’t standard or as buttery as I expected. It by no means was bad, it just wasn’t what I expected or would be used to. We both got the BHAKTI CHAI which was absolutely delicious and I’d definitely recommend. Might even go there just for it! I would definitely recommend South Side Walnut to others looking for a chill good brunch spot. Also decent pricing.
